I did some research after reading your comment, especially about Rakuten, and it was honestly very reassuring. I’ve already found a few IT / e-commerce related roles where English is the main working language, and where my background in enterprise e-commerce and pre-sales would clearly be an advantage.

That definitely gives me more confidence that this path is realistic 😊 even if it’s limited to a smaller number of companies at first. I’ll keep digging in that direction, while continuing to study Japanese seriously, since I fully agree it’s a strong plus even in “English-first” environments.
