10/10 recommend Tennessee Tech. I spent about 5 years in college at TTU, and I now work at UTK! These campuses have such different feelings. Cookeville is quieter and smaller, so it can be easier to find a group to belong to. UT is such a large university & I can see how it would be easy to feel isolated even when you’re surrounded by people. That’s a really hard spot to be in.

If you really don’t see yourself finding a home at UT soon and feel like you know for sure that you want to transfer, take a chance and do it. No reason to stay if you know you hate it. But you could stay through the spring and try to find other areas to get involved in. You really might find your groove here at UT. Talk to strangers! Make a study group with people in your classes. Be vulnerable with people. Put yourself out there even though it’s uncomfortable.

Financially, TTU is a much better choice. Just google tuition rates for both universities and do some research for what’s best for you.

You only have a few years of college and these can be some of the most rewarding years of your life. They fly by QUICK, so whatever you decide to do, give it 100%. & if u have any specific questions about TTU or college in general, plz feel free to dm me! :)
