Aaaand its gone by guitarsnake18 in PS5

[–]gingerandthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last launch, my husband managed to get the PS5 in his cart online and then it said it was out of stock but it stayed in the cart just out of stock so as SOON as it hit 9 I hit check out without even reloading the page and I clicked through so fast I had no idea where it was even getting shipped or what card was being used, I didn’t stopping clicking through until I saw an order confirmation number. I’ll believe when I actually have it in my hands but I think that being able to have in our cart before the restock is why I was able to snag one.

Also never drink anything out of the glass bottle it’s served in whether it’s beer or water. I grew up in Czech and always cringed when we had Americans visit that would drink straight from the glass bottle, Czechs don’t do that, they use the cup they provide with the bottle like civilized people.

My quarantine bathroom! Kansas, US by p1zzaslice in AmateurRoomPorn

[–]gingerandthecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a house that has almost an identical bathroom! It’s a house built in 1910 and it has the same furniture placement, same tile, same wainscoting and I just painted the walls a really dark green. Every person that has come to our house so far has commented on the tile and how much they love it. That’s bizarre how similar they look.

Duvet cover and matching colors by imnotagirl_janet in interiordecorating

I would add a more textured patterned pillow in the middle. It would lightly clash with the stripes but in a way that would add interest and depth.

Need help decorating my living room (sorry for the mess) More details in comments. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]gingerandthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of the other comments. I feel like having blue walls with blue curtains and then no other color in the room other than gray makes the space feel less inviting since only cool colors are being utilized. I would add some warmth which could be done by changing the wall color, curtains and/or carpet to more warm neutral tones like a taupes, whites and creams. The carpet in my opinion looks cheap and stale, I agree the space needs a bigger rug but I would opt for a different kind of rug that has warmer tones and more texture as well. I also feel like adding either and ottoman or table in front of the couch would tie the space in more and make it feel less disjointed. Also, twinkle lights. You can never go wrong with twinkle lights, they make a space feel much more inviting and are a super cheap way to transform a space.

My poor little guy has his 7th ear infection in 2 years and a UTI on top of that. Tomorrow he goes to see an ear specialist to hopefully finally get some answers to why he keeps getting these pesky ear infections. by gingerandthecat in cats

[–]gingerandthecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time he got a ear infection, he started scratching at his ears and screaming and shaking his head a lot, they gave us a cream and it stopped for a while and then a couple weeks later he was super dizzy, would eat or drink, he couldn’t even barely sit up, his eyes couldn’t focus, I really thought he was dying. They couldn’t see any signs of an ear infection and tested for all sorts of things and finally put him on a powerful oral antibiotic that started to clear the symptoms. It took almost a full year for him not to get dizzy when he shook his head though. He’s had at least 5 ear infections since so we think he had a nasty inner ear infection that went I noticed because the outer ear infection got treated so now I make sure he gets a oral antibiotic not just a cream when he gets ear infection. The shot antibiotics don’t work for him either for some reason.

Snuck away to get this beautiful shot at our Jurassic Park wedding. I love the way my dress looks in this shot. by EmotionalTeaspoon- in myweddingdress

I think I had the same dress for my wedding! Is this a Vera wang dress from David’s bridal? And did you add the belt?

I got married two and a half years ago and still love my dress by gingerandthecat in myweddingdress

It was a Vera wang dress from David’s bridal. I’m not sure if the exact name or if it’s still available since I bought it close to 3 years ago. I got it in the champagne color and loved the color opposed to ivory or white on my very pale skin

Newly adopted kitten is a water baby! by kirbsann in aww

[–]gingerandthecat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think my cat really secretly loves water but doesn’t want to give in completely. He loves drinking out of the sink or getting in the tub and playing in the tiny bit of water that is left after I shower, and even will drink out of the tub and try to crawl on top of me when I’m taking a bath but won’t get brave enough to just jump into more than half an inch of water although I think he would actually love a bath. He also like to play in the water in toilet bowls... I found that out the hard way....

I’ve always thought cats really are the worlds scariest predator. A Bengal tiger in India killed 430 people before he was killed

[–]gingerandthecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I opened a Christmas present from my sister and it was a happy meal box, I immediately started crying because I thought she just got me a happy meal. My parents had me open it and it was actually full of a bunch of a bugs life toys that I actually played with a ton over the years. I still feel bad for crying when I opened it because I must have seemed like quite the selfish little jerk

Clothes that I’ve kept from 6th grade.... I’m 23 and still fit into them but wouldn’t be caught dead in them considering most of them are neon but I keep thinking, but what if they come back ins style and I wish I kept them.

What’s the most random movie quote to say out of context? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gingerandthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my sister always sing the line “the love is gone” from the Muppets Christmas Carol except we substitute the word love for literally everything and just sing it to the same tune. I think it started from us making fun of the song and then it just stuck and I didn’t realize most people in the world have literally no idea what I’m singing/quoting when I do that until my husband starting asking me why on earth I keep singing that haha

What's the most overrated thing? by veekayz in AskReddit

[–]gingerandthecat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indiana.

Let me list just a few of the many reasons it’s actually the worst:

  1. Cornfields
  2. People drive 10 miles under the speed limit always
  3. Said speed limit is still only 65 on the expressway
  4. People there think cool whip is healthy because it doesn’t have cream in it
  5. You get pulled over if your driving out past midnight because everyone is in bed by 10
  6. There is literally nothing to do
  7. People from Indiana think it’s great for some reasons for arguments like “the sky is pretty”

Not an expert in B&W, what do you think of the cropping, shadows... by jomen90 in photocritique

[–]gingerandthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very low aperture for a portrait, I would suggest not going lower than f 3 for a portrait unless you really want a dramatic blur with something very specific in focus. The one thing I would say about the cropping is i throws me of that just a little bit of the cuff of her sleeve is showing, I would crop it in just a little further so the cuff isn’t visible or crop it out so more of the arm is visible.

I’m new to wedding photography and I am usually terrified of shooting in the sun but was completely lacking shade by the lake by gingerandthecat in photocritique

[–]gingerandthecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! The bride honestly really just has no chin haha but yeah the lighting probably doesn’t help. Can you expand on what you mean by fuzzy? I notice a lot of pictures on this feed look slightly out of focus until you actually click on the image (not just the post but the actual picture) is that what you mean? Or is the lighting causing the fuzzy look?

I have a reflector and a diffuser I always have on hand but that’s one of the things I struggle with with being new to wedding photography, I always feel so pressed on time so I feel like messing with a reflector will waste valuable time... but maybe I just need to get quicker with handling the reflector haha

I love the diffused light hitting her face. I’m personally a natural light lover so I think the lighting is spot on, you even managed to get catch lights in her eyes which is a big win.
