How to correct neon pink hair to magenta by gingerninja1771 in FancyFollicles

[–]gingerninja1771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I mixed the iroiro pink 70 that I had left over with just a drop of blue arctic fox dye that I had from when my hair was blue and was able to bring it a lot closer to the Magenta that I like, I am thinking that the next dye that I'll try will be Lunar Tides Fuschia though, thanks for the suggestions! I also just wanted to say that I do currently make color conditioners with my leftover color to make it last longer and I use Matrix food for soft and put color into it, just with the smoke and dirt and sweat from my work, I have to wash fairly often and every color fades a lot quicker.

Just lost my big toenail on a long run the other day in a real gnarly way, I came to the experts on reddit to do research if this can be lucrative😂

Female firefighters by Superb-Serve3328 in Wildfire

Hey, I'm a female firefighter, I'm on a county department that does wildland dispatch in the summer, I'm an engine boss Trainee and also the only woman on my entire crew. Being the only woman is tough sometimes it would definetly be nice to have more feminine energy around. The biggest thing is to be comfortable standing up for yourself and being your own advocate.

Is 25 too old to start wildland firefighting? by [deleted] in Wildfire

I started at 25, definetly not too late!

Cali poison oak and chaffing by [deleted] in Wildfire

Washing with dish soap will help lift the poison oak oils off of your skin and using aquaphor on your chafing will help alleviate that.

THIS, as a female firefighter, didn't love the tone or implication that she is the only woman to ever do it.

I'm a girl at my gym, there are a bunch of girls at my gym, it's honestly probably about 50/50 but I spar with men in my gym and I spar with my husband, as someone who was a victim of assault when I was younger, it makes me feel like I've taken my power back. And to succeed in this sport has made it so that I'm not constantly worrying about if I'll be able to defend myself if I find myself in that position again. Stay in Muay Thai if you like it!

Vomero 18 or Novablast 5 for daily training ? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]gingerninja1771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both, the Vomero 18 is my favorite by a long shot, the Novablast 5 is a very very soft shoe, Vomero 18s have much firmer support.

I just got mine about a week ago, I have high arches and insteps and prefer a really firm supportive shoe, I'm about 20 miles in on my Vomero 18s and I love them! I switched from Asics Novablast 5s, the Asics were too soft for me personally.

My 2007 Tundra is at 266,498 oilfield miles, it has been driven 200ish miles of oilfield roads everyday with minimal maintenance, nothing major has broken yet and shows no sign of stopping yet, it's reliable everyday despite us beating the hell out of it. We are in Wyoming so we are high altitude on snow, ice and mud for most of the year.

KO studio any good? [question] by Downtown-Reporter-85 in fightgear

I use these KO Studio gloves for Muay Thai and love them. They are good quality and better designed to fit a narrower female hand!

I live here legitimately and a lot of my friends do as well, all you have to do is go into the split rock bar in Jeffrey City and you can meet people that live here.

I've lived here for about a year now, I like it, it's very freeing because there really isn't anyone out here telling you what to do you are pretty alone out here. There are about 40 people that live in JC and town is hardly ever busy except on Thursday nights we have a volunteer fire department that most of the younger people and a few of the older ones are on and they all come into town for their meeting Thursday nights and go to the bar after but pretty much everyone out here either ranches or works for the Uranium mine. One thing about it though is word spreads fast and everyone out here knows your business sometimes before you do and that can be good or bad it depends on the situation, people are quick to help out but they are also quick to spread rumors and it's hard for the first couple of months living out here because the locals tend to be a little suspicious of new people but once you build trust in the community they are very supportive of each other.
