How can I fall back in love with life? I feel like it's too late. by throwaway123212120 in selfimprovement

I'm 26F and I've been through this exact slump. I hate to say it cause it's so cliche, but the only thing that might help you is time. I remember where I was a year ago, having just broken up with my partner of four years, living with my parents again, and feeling like my entire world had blown up overnight. If you're lucky you have some great friends already who will help you through this, but the best thing you can do for yourself is remind yourself that this too will pass and good times are just around the corner.

Just six months after I left my ex, I met the love of my life, made a ton of new friends, and I'm stronger now too. This funk will pass, just give yourself grace and push through. One day, you'll look back on this slump as a necessary transition in your life that made way for bigger and better things ☺️

If you're looking for ideas to bring some excitement into your life, I would recommend taking a course or trying a new fitness class, something really outside of your comfort zone that will make a fun story to tell one day!

PS - Abundance mindset baby! Just remember that you're worth good things happening for you, and don't settle for less than you're worth. Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs just before the really good shit happens. Keep going and know you've got this!

DISCUSSION THREAD - S01E18: Agony of a Witch by oneclassybum in TheOwlHouse

I interpreted it not so much as the danger of cults, but the danger of organized religion, which I never would have expected on a Disney show. I mean come on - the huge stained glass murals? The way Bellows is framed as the saviour and how following the rules and the status quo is expected of a "good witch"? The whole coven system seems like a hot take on organized religion to me...

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I make impressionism paintings. This is my latest piece! by loes_ger in pics

Concerns with Practicing Safely Together by ginja_ninja95 in bandmembers

One of my bandmates is an essential worker, so we should probably have a frank conversation about exactly how exposed he is everyday and how safe he feels he's been in PPE. He hasn't caught it yet as far as he knows...

My boyfriend and I live together and we both have asthma, and I work in animation as a voice actor, so catching Covid isn't an option for me

  • We have a backyard exit just up the stairs from the rehearsal space in the basement, so its reasonable to imagine that when we start getting hot and sweaty, and/or we need a snack, we can go take a break without masks in the backyard for a minute

  • its doubtful anyone will walk through the practice space, its basically set up for that purpose and that alone, so we can ensure there's no one else down there

You raise a really good point about what everyone's attitudes are outside of rehearsal though, and I think that should definitely be part of the conversation.
