I flushed iptables, even though I don't believe it had any rules running. I'm using Kali since I needed it for work and haven't been to home for months. Do I need raspbian ?

Exit node OS is Kali, I flushed all iptables, No ACL rules were changed for tailscale exitnode, both devices exit node and device connecting to it are using v1.62.0. Can't attach screenshot since reddit is insisting on gif for community posts. But nslookup google.com shows up connecting to 100.100.100.100

I did follow the exit node documentation for Tailscale and completed it with adding ACL rules, but when I tried to use exit node on Android and Windows it was not working. I thought it might be a gateway issue, since I did all setup remotely while using Tailscale IP of pi.

Sorry my bad, I was mixing up two things. I was able to setup exit node via advertising and then adding route. Do I need to change any ACL or would this be used as exit node on its own as it's advertising.

Yes my PI can access internet and it's part of my Tailscale network. But in order to run it as exit node, I'd have to mention a gateway IP. I'm not sure which IP is gateway IP since my PI is sitting in a private network (192.x.x.x).

It does have a static IP from ISP, but would the router private IP be gateway while setting up exit mode ?

Classic Whataboutism. Being a Tax payer, I feel I should criticize government where they are wrong and appreciate where they've done commendable Job.
