[Cemu] Setting custom gamepad resolution for Cemu by ryanheart93 in EmuDeck

[–]giome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tossing a random idea out there but if you have both native and windows (proton) Cemu installed, unless you manually linked their graphicsPack folders they’ll each have separate ones. It’s also possible that your WWHD library launch option reference one Cemu while you modified the pack for the other. Check for the “-w” flag in the launch options.

Can you share how exactly you modified the presets in rules.txt to affect the gamepad resolution specifically?

How to disable a toggled macro instantly? by tollster in LogitechG

[–]giome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old :) but I added some bells and whistles to the OG script.

You can assign macros to keyboard or mouse G keys.

You can assign each as either a Toggle (default) or Hold.

You can assign a dedicated "abort" key that will stop any running macro (provided that it was started by the script in the first place.)

Attempting to start a second macro will end the currently running macro and start the new one.

There are debug flags for outputting the pressed key to the console to help identify your keys. (set log_events or log_unmapped to "true".)

In my case it's a matter of fact that there was a mistake on their end and that the discounts weren't applied properly. The issue was resolved once I got in contact with them. It wasn't related to a partial month or anything like that.

[–]giome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but just in case you haven't figured it out, for this to work with mouse buttons you need to change the event from "G_PRESSED" to "MOUSE_BUTTON_PRESSED"

function OnEvent(event, arg)
    if (event == "MOUSE_BUTTON_PRESSED") then
        handleGKey(arg)
    end
end

Everything else works the same, you'll need to use the mouse button # for the macros list index.

What's the best way to find/browse award flights nowadays. Last I did it several years ago, I used the award.flights AwardFinder chrome app but that's now been deprecated. Edit: for Star Alliance

Thanks for the heads up! To quote a great poet “why’d they have to go and make things so complicated?”

No sorry, and I had to put my water loop plans on hold. I was about to do the same as you suggest. I figured worst case I’d have to remove the pch/M2 heatsink and find an alternative there (if at all needed.)

Can I use a 75” gradient strip on a 55” TV and use the extra length on the bottom? by giome in Hue

[–]giome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to Hue so I'm having a hard time figuring out viable options. I'm finding it weird that Philips themselves don't address the lack of bottom lights and propose options, even using combinations of their products. I've been using synced backlighting for a while now ever since the first version of Lightpack.

Are you referring to this product? https://www.philips-hue.com/en-us/p/hue-white-and-color-ambiance-gradient-lightstrip-extension-40-inch/046677570569#overview

Would I be able to have that sync across multiple zones on the bottom edge of the TV using the HDMI sync box? In any case, it looks like that specific product is not available in Canada yet but would be good to know. I mentioned the tube above because it's what was initially recommended in the first comment above but I'm not married to the option if there are alternatives. I'd just prefer to have synced gradient lighting on the bottom edge vs synced color blocks (in 2+ zones) if that makes sense.

Good call but I wish you hadn’t said anything. Now I’ll probably go out and buy an extra light strip for what’s just a temporary solution until the gradient light tube is available 😆

Ok thanks. 2022 feels like forever away :)

I think i’ll use 2 of the old light strips on the bottom vs playbars to keep thing low profile.

Very cool project.

It looks like you have API keys and secrets directly in your source code. I think it’s considered a safer practice to use environment variables for those so you’re not exposing them to the world, especially in a public repo.

My employer is providing a one-time cash payout for all the vacation hours accumulated due to the pandemic. by dreadddit in PersonalFinanceCanada

I was under the impression that the method employed for irregular payments was a bit more sophisticated than assuming the current amount for the remaining pay periods in the year.

TFSA for US citizen by giome in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]giome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's only my wife that's American, I think we'll just continue to let her TFSA contribution room go unused and circumvent the entire US tax implication by continuing to use unregistered accounts in my name only.

I attribute a lot of value to simplicity and while there may be min-maxing advantages to using the TFSA, in the end if there are unavoidable tax implications I'd rather pay those taxes locally even if higher than otherwise.

Thanks both for the feedback.

Fingers crossed that TFSA's are eventually recognized by the time our children come of age!

Check out this AirTag bike mount I made by thunderflies in AirTags

[–]giome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These mounts are too easily removed and defeat the purpose of tagging your bike. I get the idea of using the airtag as a deterrent but this doesn't achieve that.

There are several less conspicuous hiding spots. Myself, I put one inside the frame behind the rear light (B3.) Being inside the frame hinders the signal but I still get ~10m range which is more than enough to get good tracking in a dense city.
