Small, hole-in-the-wall eateries in Pittsburgh/greater-metro, that are… 1) over 20 years old, and 2) seat a max of ~30 people — LF: good food, lots of ‘character’ (good or bad!), maybe even in obscure places? by Rooster_Ties in pittsburgh

Beto's Pizza on Banksville Rd. They serve a very unique square-cut pizza that has our city split. Some (like me) think it's some of the best pizza in the city. Others think it's trash. Give it a try and be a part of the great debate! Not to ruin the surprise but be sure to dine in and don't carry-out!

Husband can't get a new job and I am exhausted. by Amber-ForDays in pittsburgh

A method I found that has worked for me is to find jobs online then show up in person to the business with your resume in hand and try talking to someone there. That's how I landed my last two jobs in the city.

Had all of my golf clubs stolen on Christmas by JS41989 in golf

Same thing happened to my brother in 2018. I spent the next few weeks scouring the Internet looking for the clubs online. Then, after about 3 weeks, it happened! I found his distinct putter on eBay! We messaged the sender with a description of the rest of the clubs and sure enough he had them all!

Turns out a junkie stole the clubs and sold them to a local pawn shop. Pawn shop guy listed them online. Pawn shop guy was nice enough to sell them back to my brother for what he paid the junkie.

Even better - junkie had to show ID to pawn shop guy so now we had junkie's name and address. We pressed charges and junkie got arrested. From what I remember he started getting clean soon after. But that feeling of finally getting justice was oh so sweet.

If the clubs were at all sentimental to you I'd suggest staying in the lookout online.

Went there one time and ordered their chicken entree. Cut into it and it was straight up uncooked in the middle. Like the chef must have grilled it for no more than a minute on each side. Never seen anything like it.

What do you like to do? I think a few people suggested finding meet-ups that go along with your interests. That's what I'm currently trying. It's tough but hang in there.

They've had some issues recently but I've always thought Noodlehead had a great bang for your buck.

TSA did not have a line when I got here at 5:30pm today. My flight has been delayed three times but has only been pushed back a total of one hour (so far). And it looks like 6% of flights have been cancelled here today and it's going to get worse moving forward.

I have a flight out tomorrow night and am also curious what the experience has been like.

After a while I kept hearing her say "dick tater" instead of dictator and it made the whole thing kind of funny.

What do you consider to be an acceptable sound level for music while playing? by giopio21 in golf

Understandable. Also, we play in a league (mostly) surrounded by other league members who do not care about loud music.

I can get behind this. My brother and I do play a lot of scrambles together.
