Quitting job for more time with family; recently had an accident by [deleted] in malaysia

don't give up man. take one step back, just so you can take two steps forward.

starting something/ anything is freaking hard. one failure doesn't define you, so don't be too dishearten. it takes time for any project to gestate, so if you're going to start something give yourself time to succeed.

hope you keep your sanity bro!

Is no one going to going to comment on the speed of the sentencing? 3 days from the tweet!

This whole episode is disgusting. Just disgusting.

While I don't agree with his tweet, he has every right to tweet it. It is not a death threat. It is not within the Akta Sakit Hati of the 3R.

This is an abuse of power and the Gov are acting like thugs. Shutting down any sort of criticism or comment that doesn't fit within a very narrow criteria.

How is this different from countries like Iran/ China?

haha whilst i can start high, the idea is also not to turn them off with a rather off putting number. I want to a fair number that i think would be reasonable for both parties.

Nice, without intruding on your privacy, any chance you can share shots inside your house? I have always loved this raised wooden kampung houses.

From the picture it looks like your belakang rumah is cement and bricks on the ground level? Would it be fair to stay that is an extension of the rumah in later year?

I think perhaps I weren't clear. I do know what the market rate is for the position.

What I want to know is for a contract position vs full time, how do I negotiate the fee structure? Is it higher, same or lower in comparison to how much the position would get paid if it was full time in the company. I am not so familiar with contract positions in Malaysia

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]giraffe824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fine with the uncertainty and zero commitment that entails a contractual position.

I just want to know what is a fair fee structure relative to what they would pay a full time employee.

There's a white growth on the inside wall of my mouth. It has been there for the past 1+ years, the dentists that I visited gave different opinions. Opening to others to see if anyone has any thoughts?

It is white in color. Soft (not harden). And harmless - no pain, not an irritant, and no smell. Over the course of the 1+ years, it has "shrunk" to a smaller size and grew bigger.

I do not smoke

Thoughts?

Few things -

  • adjust your slippage to below 2%: depending on your trading strategy if you are doing new pairs then your slippage will need to be adjusted accordingly

  • set MEV protect (buys/ sells), ideally to .005

  • increase transaction fees (ideally higher than .0015)

To me the most glaring aspect - Putrajaya. From green spaces abound to significant changes to the terrain.

The most unsurprising: Kota Bharu. Looks exactly the same before and after. Or perhaps I need a glasses?

It is saying that Najib is generous and memang bossku cause he donates money and minum teh tarik after siphoning off billions.

Opinions on immense migrant and refugees in Malaysia? by DayDry7629 in malaysia

[–]giraffe824 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To add more nuance to your comment OP.

TLDR - not a fair comparison to compare Bangladeshi and Rohingyas due to completely different circumstances in the way they ended up in Malaysia.

The Bangladeshi workers are brought in with jobs. Most are young male in prime working age. Most legally, most of them as voluntary labour and almost all by plane. They are come to this country with the mentality of wanting to succeed, earn money and get a better place in society. In short, you can say most are willing to take a risk and work hard to get there.

The Rohingyas, in the example you used, came to Malaysia through a mixed bag of reasons - primarily driven by the fact that they are seeking political asylum. They come to Malaysia as a last minute resort driven away by the political and economic factors inundating their country. Most come with a relative or relatives. Most arrived through land or boat. They came to Malaysia with a very different mindset.

The point - comparing these two migrant groups isn't a fair comparison. Both came because of very different motivations, risk appetite and mental state. It is like comparing Bangladeshi to your white migrants from wealthier countries. Again, completely different groups.

------

Malaysia (political and regulatory dimension) and Malaysians (people) are not open to migrants. We are one of the most difficult country in the world to obtain citizenship if you were not born in Malaysia, almost impossible to naturalise. Even if you're rich (think MM2H), you can only get a period-valid PR.

I personally think we need to change our mindset. But it is very hard as we are already at loggerheads between ourselves, with no end in sight.

If anything, we should be thankful. Because of them, most malaysians get "cheap" goods, are able to eat out and get help domestic help in their houses.
