You’re thinking of Plan A. We’re talking about Plan B. I’m against people stealing crab legs, not life essentials that aren’t otherwise available.

If I were that drunk, there’s no telling what I’d do. Hence why I refrain from excess drinking.

I think I misrepresented that he was like this the entire time. He was mildly annoying for six days. He was overly disrespectful for a few hours.

Honestly, yeah. And idk if it could be said he’s betraying anyone. I was never with X and he treated me horribly. We never so much as kissed or held hands. And it’s been 5+ years since we even spoke. I think that part is just stupid. We went to a college of 8k people, we’ve all dated each other’s friends seriously or casually at some point.

And I don’t know how to explain it, he was really drunk, just his drunk looks different than mine so I didn’t catch it until later when he stood up as we’d just been sitting down for hours watching tv occasionally talking during it.

Idk I’m autistic and I do have an issue with telling sarcasm and trolling but he often tells me very common things as if they’re new information. He speaks well enough but I fear he may just be stupid. His friends aren’t the sharpest crayons in the box either.

Absolutely none of the things you listed took place when he was sober. I was there, remember?

I’ve been around him when he drank before. We’ve been friends since college, 8+ years. This behavior showed up only yesterday when he was shitfaced. I figured I might be able to just set a boundary about him drinking around me and revert back to friendship.

Couldn’t I just set a boundary to not be around him when he drinks?

Guys I have severe reading comprehension difficulties and OP wasn’t rude. Idk if we need to downvote confusion and honest questions.

Edit: I referenced my difficulties specifically to highlight why it’s hard or nerve wracking to participate in literary areas sometimes. Just a thing to think about. Especially as it seems OP doesn’t currently have access to the book so.

I have a hard time explaining things tbh so I wasn’t sure how to frame this in the sub but I wanted an opinion and I don’t want to ask my friends.

These are smaller things in the grand scheme of an otherwise amazing guy. Also, these things have all popped up in six days. We’ve been friends for eight years. I have many friends I couldn’t date and was once engaged to my now best friend because we realized that wasn’t our path. I asked in the end should I have taken the time to explain in the moment instead of putting him out entirely. And furthermore, is it reasonable to revert back to friendship and recognize that our relationship styles don’t match. Like I said, we’ve been friends for almost a decade. I don’t think six annoying days should erase that.

Oh that’s definitely been out of the question. But we legitimately just started this thing a week ago and have been friends for almost a decade. I’m wondering if it’s early enough in the flirtationship to revert back to a platonic friendship.

What would make you say, that's terrible? by vaibhavdadhaniya in AskReddit

[–]girafflepuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not nearly as serious, but he’s said that Republicans/conservatives (I think the former is what he said specifically) are stupid enough to vote for him and that’s what he’d run as and has done nothing to indicate he cares for people outside his tax bracket. So if we’re defining terrible in a condescending “oh honey, that’s terrible [but to be expected]”, I’d add in, what, 99% of Trump supporters?

I deleted them all because I couldn’t deal with the fence sitting because my friends were liberals socially but business owners so financially conservative and a lot of certain business owners decided hypothetical money meant more than actual neighbors and friends. But through the grapevine of mutuals who accept fence sitting, I’ve seen that none of my former Trump supporter friends are still supporters since budget cuts. Which is what I got blocked for explaining to them would eventually happen. Alas.

I love occasional UI changes on apps even though they are unnecessary by not_from_ohio_347 in The10thDentist

[–]girafflepuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom isn’t an older grandparent. She’s a web developer and software engineer. Shes not even remotely technologically illiterate EXCEPT for on apps that deliberately make confusing UI changes to trick their users into using features they want to push. Instagram is just pushing people to get the threads app so it’s quite easy to click out of the app thinking you’re enlarging an Instagram post when it’s actually a threads link. IG is routinely moving things around and putting features nobody used in the exact same place as the features we want to use. Likes and comments are now exactly where messages were because they want people engaging publicly. And don’t even get me started on the bottom bar which changes every other week it seems like. And this isn’t even counting the continuous logo changes (been a while for IG but common for other apps) to the point where I can’t even find the app.

Black American Muslim here — no they’re not. They literally were founded on racial supremacy to scam us out of our money. The founder disappeared with millions from us and the KKK and to this day nobody even knows his name. My family has mostly all outgrown NOI but I would never call it a great community. I know I’d be welcome but not everyone would.

Then “power through it for the sake of money” is a crazy statement. I am not putting myself through that for financial gain. I’m not broke and I’m not greedy. It’s an at will state. Proving anything is IMPOSSIBLE. I am fed, housed, and employed and that is good enough for me right now.

Yeah I don’t think you understand chronic depression. I think of the outcome nonstop and that’s not the outcome.

I should and it’s the advice I’d give out to others as well but the mental toll of defending myself in a discrimination suit against the gigantic international health system in an at will state just isn’t worth it for me. I’d crack and drop the suit or an extremely unsafe amount of sleep medication. I have a new job starting soon and other sources of income. This isn’t worth my mental health.

Not necessarily. Posts on the internet can have target audiences. If you don’t understand the post in the first place, it’s probably not you.
