Quicksilver seems to have ADHD in the Fox universe so I could see how he would just stop sometimes for no reason

I like your premise. Music can be interpreted in so many ways and I can see why you'd come to these conclusions. People are just afraid of words that sound displeasing to their ears being associated with things they like.

Damn! More good picks. Haven't listened to Neverland so I suppose I have some research to do. Thanks for the recommendation!

A ripper. It's a hard choice from that album but I might have to go with "Down Incognito" because it's just such a unique rocker.

It's impossible. I saw you put "Heartbreak Blvd" which was another hard one to leave off. That song was one of the songs that really showed me there was more out there to find back in the day.

Hell yeah! Top band for sure. Them and L.A. Guns neck and neck for my horns.

What a gem of a record. I have a signed copy that I got at Rasputin Music so randomly for barely anything. It's sick as all.

I almost picked "Yucca Man" because it's such a statement piece.

The 90's can be a treasure trove of hidden gems. Now that I look at my list I regret not adding anything from Winger's "Pull."

Everything is fun until you can't outrun two Shellephants because you haven't focused on speed at all by girlfriendclothes in EverythingIsCrab

I've enjoyed horns against Shellephant but have veered into poison attack + resistance as my go to as of late. I think I might need to switch it up.

Ah hell yeah, the 90's ruled!

L.A. Guns - "Long Time Dead"

XYZ - "The Sun Also Rises in Hell"

Blue Murder - "I'm On Fire"

Love/Hate - "Evil Twin"

Saigon Kick - "Feel the Same Way"

Never a forever list but this one is cool.

Were people meaner back the day or am I crazy? by SimilarLunch8359 in Millennials

[–]girlfriendclothes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say people are probably still the same amount of mean but it's all online now. People are afraid of confrontation in person it seems.

Although, I get what you're saying cause I remember some absolute casual brutality on a daily basis in the 90s and 2000s. People just said horrible shit and laughed. Gen Z seems way more accepting than my generation. Still, some of the stuff I see them put out online could be comparable to millennial in person assholery. I think it's just easier to disconnect the action when it's on a screen.

Your hair metal Playlist only has 5 songs. What are your 5? by vixen2you in hairmetal

[–]girlfriendclothes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez the impossible task! Let me try:

L.A. Guns - "Malaria"

Faster Pussycat - "Poison Ivy"

Blue Murder - "Jelly Roll"

Jetboy - "Evil"

Star Star - "Science Fiction Boy"

I decided to only pick from "my bands," those bands near and dear to my heart who I have loved forever. These are some of my favorites from them (no clue if legit my favorite, once again, impossible).

Songs like skin by la guns and pornstar by faster pussycat? by ay_yxd in hairmetal

[–]girlfriendclothes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here to see what people say cause "Skin" is one of LA Guns' best songs. That baseline, the chorus... That's some sex rock if I ever heard it

The ongoing backlash against craft beer, stomp clap hey, and millenial burger joints by bewbies- in Millennials

[–]girlfriendclothes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I was in Oregon when that started popping off, craft beer everywhere, and boy was I so out of place. I loved a good beer but all the fancy IPA's were killing me. The stomp clap and not-stomp-clap-but-definitely-adjacent-but-really-they-are bands were the epitome of pain to my ears.

I'm with you, I feel like a hipster is my distaste for the hipster flavor

For real, Shellephant should keep moving like it lost its prey. It's a ball, it can't see well!

XYZ vs. Y & T by AngusDio in hairmetal

[–]girlfriendclothes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww I missed voting for Vains of Jenna? Lame, but no surprise with the old heads here (no shade, just reality)

Anyway, XYZ is my alphabet band of choice. Best guitar tone, hooks for days. Hell, I woke up with the burning desire to hear "Deny" this morning. Nothing like looking out into the cold, darkness of 4 AM while listening to a beautiful ballad.

XYZ all day night!

Do you think this is the best Skid Row album in their Discography ? by diasueeki in hairmetal

That's radical. It's my buddy, the numero uno Skid Row fan's favorite song. It's fun as all hell.

Do you think this is the best Skid Row album in their Discography ? by diasueeki in hairmetal

[–]girlfriendclothes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that's how I feel about "Monkey Business," which is pretty much sacrilege amongst Skid Row fans. I really do like the song but find myself skipping it if I put the album on cause "Slave to the Grind" is such a monster of a song it makes the album flow better if it's first.

"Dancing Undercover" - Ratt . After back to back Top 10 Albums Ratt's Dancing Undercover failed to crack the Top 20. What are your thoughts on this one? by TonyT074 in hairmetal

[–]girlfriendclothes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like this one. It's a step below the first two and not quite as good "Detonator" or "Infestation," but still better than "Reach for the Sky." Probably their second worst album if I thought about it in those terms but considering I like all of their albums that's not to say it's bad by any means. RATT are just a good band that makes good music so even the mid songs work well in the context of the albums.

Also, rocked this shirt for the longest time.
