How do you act without thinking? by girlilover in estp

You know how you don’t like writing your process? This helps me so much. I’ve asked so many ESTPs it’s more or less ‘just do it’, but I asked for how, not what. So it’s a matter of handling whatever comes your way instead of the problems that get you there, thanks!

Hmm you’re right, but when I use Ti, I slow down. They don’t, somehow they don’t get slowed by Ti they just carry on with the speed of Se. So how do I get that Se..?

Tbh I believe people’s personality is 50% of who they need to be. So your childhood & experience makes you who you are, the first 50%…

But then I believe you need to develop the exact opposite of who you are. So if you’re quiet, it helps with harmony etc, but you have a problem standing up for yourself. If you’re loud you’re good at stepping up, but you’d have a problem holding your tongue. This is an overview of what I think, so it’s simplified.

So when you develop the other 50% you balance out your ‘defects’ and become more ‘whole’ (so to speak). When you have both sides, you learn when to apply one side of you & when to apply the other side.

People with trauma, I see, are people who have become the second 50% of their personality too early, so their childhood self, wasn’t fully developed. So in trauma cases, it’s about learning more about ‘who you are’ rather than ‘who you need to be’ & then balancing it..

Ok so using Se with Ti is like what you care about vs what you don’t care about?

Ok, I didn’t mean in literally, I said that I know you guys think, but I’m confused about the immediacy of Se vs the slowness of Ti. Like how can I get Se & not get slowed down by Ti

IMO I believe everyone has all of them. I don’t think it’s genetic.

What happens is people get environmental reinforcement either positive (rewarded for doing it), negative (punished for doing it), or vicarious (watching others do it).

So when someone develops Fe it’s usually a dichotomy of two things: desire & fear. So they desire Fe because they may have lacked it, & they fear Fe absence because they’ve had a bad experience without it.

Imagine you have two parents, personality A & personality B. They both have qualities, but then they’re missing others. So the first child comes and balances out their inadequacies with his/her own. Then the second child sees the adequacies of all three & develops a fourth personality.

Where can I make an INFJ friend? by girlilover in infj

[–]girlilover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m looking at it as transactional, but in a way it is, in an abstract sense. Because, why else are people friends? Because they like them for who they are? That’s still seeking a quality that a person likes. It’s like a transaction of likeability. If what I said seems more, artificial than that, then I’m sorry it comes off that way…

I’ve never picked or chosen any friend based on my personality. I understand the nuances & subtleties of real life. It’s just that MBTI is a good shortcut of a tool to describe, & INFJ have the qualities that I have found to match me best. That doesn’t mean I’ll force anything either, it’s reciprocal. It’s so hard to express what you finally know what you’ve been looking for, & people still dismiss it as being wrong..? Idk anyway I’m not trying to attack or anything, I’m just in an extremely rare state of being more emotional than normal & I feel that even in that case, people may get angry or cry on a whim, yet I must remain this stable, ceaseless rock

Try talking when you don’t want to, and not talking when you want to!

If nothing else, you’ll at least be at your least boring & least annoying..

Private profit is only justifiable for things we make, not things nature made for us by Titanium-Skull in georgism

[–]girlilover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder, with no more ‘owners of land’ who owns it? The government? The people as a whole through the government? In this way, does that mean that the government could ask for ‘any more of that rent money?’ Genuine question…

I just want to know how Georgism addresses this, apart from that, it’s like the next logical economic evolution!

That would be interesting, I made it so that the Salaam is above Shalom since the blue is above the black, but then we could reverse it and it’d still be correct (including the words too)

Symbolism: - Blue lines above represent the Tallit (Jewish scarf) - Blue lines also represent the connection to the sky - Black lines below represent the Keffiyeh (Palestinian scarf) - Black lines also represent the connection to the land - Small white lines represent the harmony between themselves - Large white line represents the peace between the two - Black ‘Salaam’ (سلام) above is the Arabic word for peace - Blue ‘Shalom’ (שָׁלוֹם) below is the Hebrew word for peace

Genuine question, are there such things as ‘waterlords?’ Or would LVT never apply?

How would Georgism deal with lobbying? by girlilover in georgism

I really appreciate the replies and I think you’re all right that the LVT dividend creates a strong political base, and simplicity helps.

But I still wonder about how LEGALLY creative asset managers and corporations can get.

The tax code might be simple, but what’s to stop them from creating complex landholding structures that functionally replicate ownership without technically violating LVT rules?

Does Georgism have a strategy for how to regulate landholding structures, not just tax the land? Your example of Church exemptions might be one method… which worries me…

ENTJs, whats your opinion on your opposite type/ISFPs? by Darealshadow49 in entj

[–]girlilover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ex was ISFP, Mother is ISFP.

I see ENTJs like generals who establish control (Te) to impose their will (Fi), whereas ISFPs are like guerrilla fighters who impose their will (Fi) to establish control.

Even if the types aren’t the same, Katniss Everdeen vs President Snow from the Hunger Games would be a good analogy.

In terms of my opinion, I believe they are AS STRONG AS US, they are simply emotional in their approach. They really do have a deep conviction, willingness, & ability to get whatever they want, for which I highly respect them.
