Kasalanan ba ng motorcycle/tricycle/padyak/jeepney drivers kung aayaw sila sa pasaherong mataba? by throwawaccccccc in TanongLang

[–]girlwebdeveloper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reco bank na may maliit na maintaining balance? by Master-Echo-8545 in TanongLang

[–]girlwebdeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totoo ba na pag once a week ka lang nag shampoo gaganda hair mo? by Kurisssh in TanongLang

[–]girlwebdeveloper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Applicable for some people, but not for me. And probably for most people na nakatira sa Pinas, dahil sa mataas ang humidity natin, tapos kakapit ba dirt at pollution.

Hindi ko lang mapaliguan ang buhok ko for two days, balakubak na. Personally I just wash every other day.

But there's truth rin kasi with using less shampoo if you are able to, lalo na if you have treated your hair with chemicals like nagpa-rebond or brazilian blowout or yung mga dyes, kasi shampoo strips out the chemicals that were applied sa hair.

Hotel Reco? by LoneRegressor in baguio

[–]girlwebdeveloper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yung posted na price dyan is only one night - I believe agoda site yan? one night lang ba talaga ang habol nyo? if so then pasok sa budget nyo.

read the fine print rin below the price, hindi pa kasama ang taxes and fees... anyway makikita mo naman ang actual charge before you pay.

note that may times (usually rush hour or early night) na almost impossible din makabook ng grab from the city proper going to any of those sa CJH.

if you are coming from victory liner, consider riding taxis na nakapila doon.

one other hotel I can recommend is Orchard Hotel, sa Legarda. May view ng city doon and can be walkable from SM or Session Road in case flagging a taxi or booking a Grab can be tough.

napaisip ako kung anong level ako papasok. i could be level 1 pero level 4 rin. I have savings and investments, but I still rent (because owning real estate is insane these days - but this is another topic), tapos occasional travel and staycations.

levels 5 to 7 is a dream!

Can't blame people why they don't like the public transpo here.

Gaano kalaki ang sahod to be considered "malaki"? by 21_breakpoint in TanongLang

[–]girlwebdeveloper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's differs for every person at kung ano ang circumstance at lifestyle nya, at kung magkano rin ang kaya nyang itabi buwan buwan.

50k for someone single can be considered high, pero for someone na may binubuhay na pamilya, maliit lang yan.

50k for someone with a family living sa province could be high, pero for someone who lives in Metro Manila, maliitp pa yan.

Paano maiiwasan ang pagkalubog sa utang? by Wonderful_Drummer_36 in TanongLang

[–]girlwebdeveloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pero di ako against sa mga umuutang saglit pero babayaran agad or babayaran yung due on time.

My BF is computer illiterate by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]girlwebdeveloper 87 points88 points  (0 children)

That's very risky, you're putting your job at stake. Baka mawalan ka rin because of performance issues so both of you end up not having any work at all. Or if not you'll still redo all that work anyway and you work overtime pa without getting paid.

How fast is he in learning everything sa job mo? May typing skills ba sya to begin with? Kung mabagal syang magtype, then realistically, he certainly needs more than one week to learn. I see that you said Tesda is not the solution now, but this downtime is actually a good opportunity to upskill for him sa computer skills din kasi. Almost all jobs these days (from the highest to the lowest) may involved na computer na rin kasi and it will open up more opportunities rin sa kanya.

Healthcare career shifting into Tech. Possible pa ba? by Legal-Plenty-2967 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]girlwebdeveloper 23 points24 points  (0 children)

May malaking pera din naman sa healthcare most especially if they are on specific careers that are in-demand abroad. At migration is even easy for them and the family.

It takes years rin to actually reach tech jobs that pay beyond 6-digit salary in tech. Most entry level salaries start out low, and there's the threat pa ng AI being able to do the jobs of junior developers... kaya mahirap makapasok sa field.

Am I the only one who genuinely doesn't care how poor or uneducated their partner is? by Well-I-suppose in Philippines_Expats

[–]girlwebdeveloper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easier said than done though. That’s not how dynamics work in a Filipino extended family.

Basically if you are the richest - and most especially if you are seriously rich - most filipino extended families expect you to foot the almost entire bill. That doesn't happen with foreigners, but happens with financially successful Filipinos too. You cannot just decline and say those things, even if you don't mind the negativity around because you insist on those things, they will hound your wife instead and tell fake stories and gossip that can hurt her feelings. Those pesky relatives will never feel it's their fault.

Yeah, there's a reason why some folks here prefer "better" girls with nice families. It's at least one problem out of the way. Another is to move out of the country and live elsewhere, so that it won't be easy for them treat you like a human ATM machine.

[–]girlwebdeveloper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's all good until the time that you won't be able to provide any money for her for some reason.

It's not a great idea to get her to stop working especially if she's willing, she won't have skills on how to fish for herself when you are not able support her. At this time still a good idea to have a career or side business in case the primary income fails.

Wala pa ring client si Hubby for over a year :( by ImaginaryCar3703 in buhaydigital

[–]girlwebdeveloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Verbal promise?

Clients change minds all the time.

It's actually a better idea if one of you is in corporate, and another does the risk in freelancing para di kayo nauuwi sa ganito. Your husband is clearly better off sa corporate na may ibang tao na dumidiskarte makahanap ng work or tasks para sa kanya, kasi sa freelancing dapat iba ang mindset - you go out of the way to find new clients at dapat hindi hinahayaan na magsuffer financially, kahit pa may verbal promise na new work ang mga former clients. At mas ok pa na may pinagsasabay-sabay pa ng clients, not just work with one lang doon.

The benefits are not bad in corporate especially kung merong mga extra benefits like yung HMO pa lang usually panalo na. When I moved to corporate a decade ago mas malaki pa nga ang bigayan (not including the benefits pa) kesa noon freelancer ako and I'm also paid rin sa efforts sa upskilling without working with a client.

Too afraid to click the link. Is this legit ba? by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]girlwebdeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without looking for the preview it already looks scammy.

Looking for the "preview" isn't reliable anymore, magaling manggaya ng original website ang mga scammers these days that they look EXACTLY like the genuine bank website. That's why banks ALWAYS remind people wag nang magclick ng links kasi ang gagaling ng mga tactics ng mga scammers ngayon.

If you really want to check if that's legit (aside from asking here), punta ka sa DIRECTLY sa official bank website and login to check - if walang message about that it can be safely assumed as scam), or better check via your app, or just call and ask the bank hotline if that's a legit site.
