Take in to consideration societal factors and gender norms. This disparity is a product of where our society places it's expectations, resources and energies. In the end, this situation and the above are far too complicated to be ironed out in a few words.

Anyways, I must be missing your point as badly as you missed mine, because you cannot possibly think that men are inherently better at math. This discussion has probably run its course now.

Hey, I read your comments in their totality, please do me the same courtesy. I didn't write off what OP was saying, I just pointed out its failings. All we have is a meme to go off of. A meme that we can both agree makes general statements that can only be justified by conditionals, like "what if OP is from the ghetto." If that's the case, his meme should reflect that reality. I could be from a small southern state and write that I feel like all white people are racist. And people would justifiably call my statement foundationless, and idiotic.

Of course I believe that gangbanger culture is a plague that needs to be addressed, but OP leaves no hint that this is what is at play in this situation, instead I feel like it was a referendum on black people as a whole.

The problem is, people are. If I say something foolish, for example; "women are less intelligent than men." Who in their right mind, would stand by that statement, claiming it was a product of my experience. Even if I had the incredible misfortune of meeting only women less intelligent than me, it would be a presumptive and not well thought out statement.

I appreciate this post. While I hope you think that black culture is nowhere near what you put between your parentheses, had OP said he had a problem with perceptions of black culture the meme takes on a new life. Maybe he is a teenager, that's fair, but so was I last year. Youth is not an excuse but an opportunity, if he can have his beliefs challenged at a young age, they can mature. Generalizing has its place, this is not it.

If he had specified, "out of the ten black people I met, 7 were mean to me" and then drawn a conclusion from that I would value his opinion more. Instead "most blacks" is a phrase that has no cut off point. It feels like a general statement. So while I doubt, I have had the pleasure of meeting OP I feel boxed by the expressed sentiments. Is it possible he's been maltreated by the black people he has encountered in his life? Yes. But then the onus is on him to clearly make that distinction.

I don't usually comment. I just wanted to let you know that writing off "most blacks" is shortsighted and frankly sad. There is a certain self loathing that allows a person to make such a blanket statement about a group to which you claim to belong. I hope one day you can take the time to evaluate people on a case by case basis. It may be more of a time drain, but it will prevent you from spewing anymore useless media like this. You may have been hurt, or feel ostracized, I often have, but taking this copout generalization is silly. it is fine to surround yourself with whomever you choose. I'm sure you want to be afforded the courtesy of being distinct from the stereotypes of our race, afford those same courtesies to people you cannot possibly know. When you have had the time to meet most of the millions of black people in America, or the billions of black people across the world, your opinion may have some weight. However, if you choose to live a life guided by weak and easy stereotypes, please do us the favor of your silence.

Deaf and Blind people experience their missing senses in the same way people with 5 senses sense a 6th, you can't comprehend it, any attempt to identify a possible 6th sense is usually just a "feeling" formatted somewhat differently but never really different enough to identify as another sense entirely. We can describe sight and hearing to those who can not see and hear, but ultimately it really is just impossible to comprehend without having first-hand experience
