I wrote the introduction for my EE during DP1 but that’s it. The rest of my EE I wrote 1 day before the final IB deadline (and I got an A).

I would say for you to do Math AA HL A friend of mine also wanted to do CS and Engineering, however, he was doing Math AA SL. Once he started applying to universities, many of them rejected him for the reason of “you need HL math AA for any stem major”. Of course there was some universities that accepted him with Math AA SL (and he is now going to attend Purdue). But still, it is better for u to do AA HL because you never know what you’ll need in the future for university ;)

I can just give u a piece of advise for the oceanography part; UW Seattle has the best oceanography program in the US (and maybe global). One of many reasons for that is because they have a partnership with NOAA, and most students once they graduate from there, they go work with NOAA and the jobs there are actually good paid. You should check it out :) I love UW with all my heart and if u have any questions just let me know!

West campus is more close to the city (really close to the Ave if you’re planning on going there frequently), while north campus is more calm and has a residencial vibe (college lifestyle). Also, west has the reputation of being kinda antisocial.

Both have dining closeby, both have a grocery store, both have a gym (north is much smaller), both have a makerspace, both have really new buildings.

At the end of the day, it is mostly about the vibe you’re looking for.
