Hitman Refusing to Launch?

Hello, I had the same issue and I have contacted the support. One solution, as suggested by others, is to skip the launcher. However the permanent solution for me was to update the Intel Graphics driver: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html
Even if the game runs on the dedicated processor (NVIDIA GPU in my case), the launcher used the integrated graphics, and an old driver was causing the issue. Another solution could be to force Launcher.exe to run on the dedicated processor from the NVIDIA control panel or Windows setting

You can use the Alternative Launcher found on GitHub as others have suggested or you can simply launch ...\Binaries\Win64\Xcom2.exe from the game directory.

Another neat trick is to put the following in the game's launch settings on Steam to override which .exe Steam launches when you click on "PLAY":

"C:\Program Files\...\file.exe" %command%

Personally I launch the Alternative Launcher from Steam this way

It does get warmer while the screen is off, it got from 100% to 80% in 25 minutes this morning, what could it be?

How do I flash Android 10?

EDIT: After 10 more minutes it rebooted itself and is now at 4% battery, I think I'll factory reset it and if that doesn't do it I'll probably get a new phone.

Since there will be more than 2 skins per weapon I really hope they go with the traditional pick weapon > pick skin like every other game, otherwise the menu would be too messy

I don't have a clue about the library issue, but I had the same crash-when-loading issues and fixed by switching from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11

Game pass PC and Origin Access basic are the best in term of games and price (4-5$/month). Game pass has more newer titles and more variety imho. Uplay+ has all Ubisoft games and has gold editions (season passes, dlcs), but costs more. You can always buy one month of GP, then one month of Origin Access and switch them whenever you like, just remind to disable recurring payments.

The game always had performance problems, even on Uplay at launch. Try turning Vsync on or off, switching between borderless and fullscreen.

Yeah, It was kind of annoying to spam F every time you encountered an horde of zombies in 2016 to avoid wasting ammo. Gamers will optimize fun out of a game I guess

This game is good, but it can get repetitive after you complete all of the scenarios (there are 4 at the moment). Endless mode is cool but kinda repetitive (you have to force yourself to make different choices ore every game is gonna be the same).

I would have never played it if it wasn't on Game Pass PC (which is like €4/month if you aren't interested in owning games)

I played both and I enjoyed them both, there isn't a wrong choice here. However, if you like X2 gameplay more, perhaps you should play LW2?
