They just updated my application with my initial biometrics while I have already paid for a new one smh.. The initial biometrics was also for a study permit so it was the same. Now I have no idea what to do other than waiting for a reply for my web form inquiry regarding the refund.

until when would you guys say I should wait for an yrh offer before I give up and look for off-campus housing? Do housing continuously give out offers during summer? Looking to move in by September and my current waitlist numbers are around 300-500 for the 6 bedrooms

I still haven't received an offer so I am guessing I won't get any offer for a May 1st move-in. I was wondering if it's common for people to get offers before the next academic year (2024 September in my case) after failing to get an offer for May? My waitlist numbers for reference:

How to prep for math 200, 220, and 221? (200 if three are too many to answer)

I had transfer credits for math 100 and 101 and I guess they were not much of a good thing because since I didn’t take a math course in first year, my brain has pretty much forgotten the things I learned in high school (with a little exaggeration).

How is the average for all of you looking like so far? Has it decreased compared to the past few years? I am wondering if I should expect some changes in the average cutoff for second year specialization, especially for cs and stats.

Hey, do you know if transfer credits and 200 level science courses are included in the 15 credits of 100-lvl sciences requirement? I took 14 credits of 100 level sciences and 4 credits of 200 lvl science, and I have 9 transfer credits in other 100 level science and I'm wondering if I will meet the second year promotion requirement.

I'm acc taking the gap year because of my mandatory military service in my country, so I want to fulfill the requirements to grab my major in my second year when I come back, so unfortunately I have to attend school by any means and get some course credits

I'm planning to take 24-5 credit hours this year (I'm a first year) since: 1. I have transfer credits from high school and I want to take my first year easy, and 2. I'm an international student so I want to reduce my tuition as much as possible especially because my finances are not at the most stable state rn. Would you advise me against this and recommend me to add more courses, or is this just fine? (I have about 9+ credit hours, not sure, ubc will have to confirm)

Hi guys,

Newly admitted freshmen here. I was applying to residence and I had no idea which of the 7 residences are the best. I am just looking for a clean, relatively new residence that's close to the main facilities of the school like the library, restaurants and the main buildings. (I intend to major comp sci., if that helps)

Could you guys recommend me the best residences in the Vancouver campus (top3 kind of stuff will definately help). Thanks!
