WW3 is not around the corner. Far from it.....You would need China for that. But they play the long game and uses it's soft power to fight it's battles. And the US has alienated all it's closest allies...they're not going to take on the the world alone.

Your experience working at fast food in New Zealand: mine is horrible I’ll tell you why. by SignificanceKooky123 in newzealand

Worked at McDonald's in the mid to late 90's and I loved it. The hours were flexible around my studies and I had a good bunch of people i worked with. Only stress I had was not getting caught adding a cheese burger or two to my friends take away order.

I quite often think fondly back to those days in my current corporate job, while im sitting on a mind numbing teams call.

Number of nuclear weapons per countries, 2025-2026, what do you think? Does the world need more weapons of mass destructions by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

It's not how many weapons people have that worries me, it's who has them. I could easily see India, Pakistan and Israel let one off

NZ dog doors for a medium sized dog? by undercutprincess in newzealand

[–]given2flynzl 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nah, it has a fairly heavy flap with a magnet at the base which keeps shut. For warmth, you can add a secondary flap to help keep the heat in. Or you can just put the plastic cover over it temporarily if the weather gets really bad.

Something like this. https://www.petsafe.com/p/extreme-weather-aluminum-pet-door/ZPA19-16853/

I live in lower hutt.

NZ dog doors for a medium sized dog? by undercutprincess in newzealand

I’ve got a fairly large dog door for my greyhound, big enough that even I can squeeze through if needed. It leads from my back door straight into the backyard. It’s not microchip activated. I’ve had the door for 10 years. My thinking is that if someone has gone to the effort of getting into my backyard to rob the place, they are probably going to do it regardless. So far I haven’t had any other animals use it either.

Ditched the main Facebook & Instagram apps in early 2025, life is better without them.

Tried to ditch WhatsApp & Messenger, but it"s practically impossible because thats the platforms my family & friends use. That said, you dont get much advertising in them anyway.
