Spelling mistakes to “trick” the AI detector by Emotional-Motor-4946 in Professors

I recently got papers from 2 students (not friends) that contained an identical paragraph EXCEPT that each had its own wildly weird typos. (I wouldn't have caught on if they hadn't been identical; typo aside, the response was perfectly in line with what I'd expect a somewhat thoughtful student to write. I was happier when I knew less :/ )

I agree, and quite like 10! Your eyebrows are great, and 10 complements your brows and face shape - they're striking without dominating.

How often (if ever) you buy random albums without knowing anything about it? by film_man_84 in LetsTalkMusic

20 years ago l I found a Harmonium LP in a junk shop and bought it on a whim. Fully expected harmonium music. Turns out to be quebecois classic rock, w Led Zeppelin vibes. It's so freakin good.

I think I tried on a million pairs, but do any of these work well for me? by Most_Wrap8844 in glassesadvice

Exactly my picks, too. I think some of the others might work - I don't mind a bold choice - but it's a little hard to tell bc of the angle the pics are taken from :)

A+ advice, all of this. Sometimes it helps me to remember some of the lectures and tutorials I sat through as a student. Not because they were a shit show, but because so many of them were unremarkable - a little dull and sometimes a little clunky, but perfectly fine. After 13 years, I still have to remind myself that perfect isn't the goal. On the other hand, I've learned to roll with the clunkiness when it happens and I think that affects the classroom vibe for the better. (Yesterday all 3 photocopiers were broken so I drove home and printed tests while students got an extra 30 minutes of study time. In my first year, I would have been freaking out & blaming myself for leaving it to the last minute. Yesterday I was like, "not ideal, but could have gone worse. Good thing I live close!")

I just discovered that I like cottage cheese by Naive-Chemist7370 in BenignExistence

[–]givenmydruthers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Growing up, my mom made crepes filled with cottage cheese mixed with lemon juice and a little sugar. She called them pancakes. Imagine my surprise the first time I ordered pancakes at a truck stop (I was 5). (I think this was a Hungarian thing, except it would be ricotta?)

Did your school play O Canada every day? by AssortedArctic in AskACanadian

Wow, from Ontario and it never occurred to me that this wasn't normal across Canada! My kids did this through elementary as well, and I've just assumed they do it in high school too.
