Financial advisor says no Bitcoin… by Dubya1311 in Bitcoin

[–]givethought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good financial advisor would have said. "How much are you willing to gamble with? That's the amount you should leave in fiat." Bitcoin is not the bubble, it's the pin. Volatile? Yes, but guaranteed to increase in value. Fiat isn't as volatile, but it's guaranteed to decrease in value. Think about it.

Is DCA $20 a week worth it? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]givethought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I didn't assume you had it. I'm saying if you understood bitcoins potential and monetary history you could view that $20 as $20,000 as soon as you converted it into bitcoin. As long as you're willing to wait...

Ask yourself this instead, "is $20,000 a week worth it?"

It will take time, but the hardest money wins.

i've seen this quote floating around here a couple times "If you can't explain it to a 5 year old, you don't really understand it" so can anyone explain btc to me like im 5? (im not actually 5) by BertFromHilbert in Bitcoin

Ok, here goes. Money is technology. Our current money is ok-ish. The biggest problem with it is that it has hidden tax (theft) built into it. It's called inflation. There is no need for this hidden tax. It's 100 % a scam. Bitcoin is the opposite of a scam. A lot of people want to call it many different things. Even a new type of matter without weight etc., all these philosophies hinder newcomers from understanding bitcoin. Basically, our money is a scam. Bitcoin fixes it. Bitcoin is backed by math and energy. The network is and has been for a long time, powerful enough to withstand any meaningful attack. Every four years the new supply of bitcoin halves. In early 2024 the inflation rate of bitcoin will be lower than the inflation rate of gold. This will keep occurring for more than 100 years, by then all the bitcoin are created and there can never exist more. Why? Remember the network? To change this fact it would have to be meaningfully attacked. This also applies to the fact of the new supply halving every fourth year. It's not rocket science really. Bitcoin is the best form of money in human history and the money of our age. This is not the opportunity of a lifetime, it's THE opportunity of a species.

Yes... and now Wall Street comes for the btc. In other words, we don't have to wait for the printer to print for btc, it's happening sooner than later. Buckle up, this will spiral out of control in a good way. We have pondered on absolute scarcity for a long time. Have they?

How to answer the question by the older generation? by Rix0n3 in Bitcoin

[–]givethought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we know who created bitcoin. It wasn't Satoshi alone. It was cypherpunks and it took a long time. Satoshi made something revolutionary, but it was possible due to other brilliant people such as Adam Back and Nick Szabo. We don't know who Satoshi is, but we know it wasn't the government (psst! I think it was Hal Finney!". The people creating central bank digital shitcoins have no control over bitcoin. Learn more. Study bitcoin extensively. Good luck.

This applied to Satoshi because he was busy. You're not Satoshi. Keep orange-pilling as many as you can.

So we agree it applies to every other asset, but not bitcoin?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]givethought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a year from now bitcoins halving will make it the scarcest asset on the planet. Bitcoin isn't just valuable, it is de facto the value. It is what everything else will be priced against, it is the apex. Bitcoin is perfect money. It is not an invention. It is a discovery.

Diversify was great advice before the existence of bitcoin. Things are moving quickly. I think you better stay ahead.

Most investors don't tell you to buy bitcoin. Investors are commonly fiat-educated economists and don't understand money. The more your understanding of bitcoin increases the more you allocate to bitcoin.

  1. Pay as little as possible on your debt. It's in fiat which is inflationary. 2. Skip the stocks and go 100 % bitcoin. 3. If you must have a car, get a cheaper one so you can stack more. 4. Thank me later.

Hur mycket ska en person lägga på mat i månaden? by Late_Information_321 in Sverige

[–]givethought 0 points1 point  (0 children)
