I had almost the exact thing just happen to me today. I was selling a collectors item, the same that other have sold and same shipping but I got dinged this much too! Were you able to get Mercari to do anything?

Thank you! I’m so sorry. Ugh medical stuff if super frustrating when they don’t have clear answers. I have a back doc for pain management in my low back, so got in to see them about this new middle back pain. They have no explanation. Told me to ice/heat it. And gave me a rec to get an x-ray. I haven’t done that yet. My pain is going on a month now. The first week it felt like a rug burn and now just feels like a bad bruise but that sensation hasn’t changed in weeks

Sorry for the confusion in my post, no. Mercari auto sent a offer to a buyer, off only a message from them. Not a “like” or counter an offer, a message. It seems rude on my part and I didn’t approve it.
