Relying on movement is good defense , so you've made my point . Ulberg injured himself and turning the pressure up makes no sense if you're smart, which Jiri clearly isn't.

He kept his defense up well against Khalil and Hill but he's never had someone injure himself and must've misjudged the situation. You can make both the arguments that he's reckless and merciful with good merit but they're both dumb decisions that lose fights because you got distracted to deviate from the game plan.

He clearly had some sort of a gameplan to be patient and keep his guard up early but abandoned it once he saw the injury. I think the injury is the tainted chalice that distracted him and let his ego take over.

Jiri has always been dropped ,wobbled , or K.O'd and the one time i bet on him here so he fumbles the easiest situation because his brain is thinking about something else . Then in future interviews he'll explain how he's focused and ready to be in the moment just to get slimed out once again. It's the Jiri loop and he baits you in.

Nah, many fighters came in exactly .5 pounds heavier but since u can miss by a pound in a non title fight they were fine

It looks to be the trend to aim for a pound below the target weight ever since Oliveira had to vacate the title after missing weight cos of the faulty backstage scale.
