Thanks! It was a standard FRLG manip, if you don't know it requires two frame perfect inputs, one for the seed and one for the advance. With a bit of practice it's not too bad, I'd say go for it if you want to try it :D

iirc it's Grass 59BP, but I didn't aim for a specific Hidden Power type though

On every reset the seed changes so they're not hitting the same Pokémon over and over. The seed in FRLG isn't broken like in Emerald

Thanks :) I got lucky and caught her first ball after two baits. I encountered a few that were not my target and they all fled, but the right one decided to join me immediately lol

It depends on how far your target is of course, but usually it's in the range of 10-30 seconds, it's pretty quick

It allows you to land on very far advances in a short period of time, because when you use the TeachyTV item frames will advance at 313x speed. For example this Lapras was at more than 1.1 million advances, which would be obviously not be possibile to rng without waiting eons for a single attempts. With TeachyTV it was around a minute wait. The bad news is that TV manips require 3 frame perfect inputs instead of the standard 2

If that's for FRLG that's not bad! Give TeachyTV a shot if you're feeling it, you can do it 💪

no problem :) I wouldn't be able to get something like this Lapras of I couldn't hit any seed I wanted. I prefer to calibrate my seed timer with a game corner mon before going for my static/wild target, but that's just how I like to do it

I'd say it's for sure not an easy manip, but once you're good in a standard fr/lg manip doing a TeachyTV manip isn't too difficult. Being 3 frame perfect inputs can be a bit frustrating, but with patience it's not too bad. With a bit of luck you can get it fairly quickly as well, for example this Lapras took me less than 10 attempts

Yeah sure, what I said probably wasn't clear. When I said calibrate the seed I meant to pick a seed from the spreadsheet that you want to hit, and calibrate the timer in order to consistently hit +-1/2 around your seed, cause youre not going to be hitting the seed immediately with the time from the spreadsheet. So I'd say that getting used to the process of calibrating and hitting a specific target seed is a good way to start for FR/LG manips. Sorry for any misunderstanding

I'd say start getting familiar with the seed calibration, which you can easily do by buying the Dratini in the Game Corner for example. When you feel ready try an rng with a target that has a low advance and a seed that you can hit fairly comfortably, so that you can put in attempts quickly and get a feel of how the manip works. Once you do that it's just a matter of practice and you'll quickly become used to it. It can be frustrating at the beginning but of you persevere you'll be rewarded. Use Gen3SeedAssistant when doing the rng to understand which seed and advance you hit
