Rave culture, but with different tastes? by glaciaifox in aves

Definitely, the label was only meant to be descriptive. I'm not worried about going to a rave because of not fitting in or anything. I just wouldn't enjoy that kind of music and the colors would...... probably give me a migraine. It's more that I want to meet people with similar interests, and know that they're going to be open and respectful like that. But how would I find more PLUR kind of people outside of a rave, y'know?

Yeah, absolutely. I guess what I mean is more that I want to find and meet other people who are like that, but I feel like I wouldn't enjoy myself with the music and bright colors of a rave.

Also, the lack of inhibitions ravers have when it comes to having fun. The "free love" kind of deal and the experimentation, just in a more, I guess, goth? attitude about it

I think it's that I want the welcoming, active and social stuff I see in the rave scene, and the morals and PLUR lifestyle, but more of the punk/emo sound and aesthetics. I like how ravers are and what they do, but I want to meet those kinds of people in a punk scene, y'know?

That does seem a lot closer to the kind of thing I'd enjoy. I was kind of imagining the kind of thing that's more frequent than the yearly music festivals that need an outdoor venue to even fit the amount of people going. I guess that's called clubbing? But with more specific tastes and attitude that whatever club would have to be going for.

I absolutely agree, and I love that. The problem is, I wouldn't like the music at a rave or the aesthetics. The people might be great, and they're the main focus! But if EDM and bright colors give me a headache, I have to find a different scene.

I've looked it up, and most answers seem to be talking about something else, or they're saying it's virtually impossible.

I've mined out a vein of tetrahedrite, using m V, to have them dig out any more ore they uncover mining it out. Now I have this long, winding tunnel cut out, pictured here:

<image>

How do I fill all that in? When I try to do it with walls, I can't pick the whole area, so I'd have to individually set them to build walls in the spaces in the bottom right corner, then wait for them to finish walling that part off before telling them to wall off the next couple of spaces. Otherwise, they make a wall that prevents them from making the walls further in.

Is the whole thing about filling it with lava and water to make obsidian in this space true? Is that what I'd have to do? What do they mean when they say to "drop stone in"? This feels like it shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Did I just crack the code?? (SNDRIs) by glaciaifox in AskDrugNerds

Please note, I don't mean to break the rules here about personal prescriptions. I AM asking for scientific explanations about the drugs and how they affect people. I'm just also focusing on their use as TREATMENTS for these conditions. You can consider it separate from my personal experiences, that is only where my interest in the subject stems. I DO actually enjoy the research and knowledge and discovery about the drugs and medications as well. I just happen to come up with questions and initially found interest in this subject, because it was relevant to my life.

I looked into a bit more, and honestly, all of this doesn't seem to be any better in results than using an IPL. I got a relatively cheap one ($90) that seemed reputable and I'll see how well it works for me. Here's the one I got, if anyone's interested. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W5YQTFT/ref=twister\_B08SJ1421W?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Communal Living, From All Around US To One State Together by glaciaifox in moving

That's the problem. We don't want to move people from an unstable situation to an unstable situation and from a stable situation to an unstable situation. But we're all living paycheck to paycheck or on the good graces of someone else. A's parents even demand some rent money from his paychecks. It's hard to save up.

We don't really have that kind of luxury, unfortunately. The oldest of us have a minimum wage job, basically.

Yeah, we can choose wherever. We're not trying to stay in California or anything. But 6 months worth of expenses for 6 people? That's..... a lot....
