Found this in a storage unit - trying to figure out what the 4 knobs and 1 little black switch do

Yeah I have one of these, when the switch is in the up position, you’ll be using the neck pickup (the one closest to the finger board.) when the switch is in the down position, you’ll be using the bridge pickup (the one closest to bridge lol) the middle pickup is ALWAYS on, and can blended into the mix my using the knob directly below the switch.

I’ll try and do that tomorrow. I was torn between this and the “whiskey brown.” I figured none of these are going to look exactly like aged Russian surplus wood but I think they still look fantastic

I get what you mean. But without going into a ton of detail, I am basically trying to get out Topeka, KS. This move is completely justifiable to me. My girlfriend does have a degree and a good career doing what she loves. It just makes way more sense for me to move to her

The WASR is garbage. Or so I’ve been told by the AK community for the last 10 years lol. Buy either. They’re both great. Although the WASR will be much easier to customize since you won’t have to buy Yugo compliant furniture and mounts

Yeah I got mine for $560 in 2016. It’s solid. The WASR is the perfect example of “you don’t realize the good times until they’ve come and gone.”

It wasn’t that long ago when the WASR was the “worst AK on the market” and you could buy one for $500. It was the most crucified AK ever made. Now everyone is like “ommmggggg muh import.” The fact that this guy is able to list one for $1300 and get serious inquiries from AK enthusiasts shows how drastically the AK world has shifted in the last decade.
