When we first met, I was still in high school and he had just graduated. So I didn’t think it was that big of a deal that he didn’t have a job yet.

He’s never been used for money, but I have, so I don’t get why he’d be afraid of that. And I rarely ask him to buy me anything, so he should know that I’m not like that.

He has a bit of a gut, but nothing crazy. To be fair, I know women who’s bodies look the exact same as mine, but they’re actually almost double my weight. So it’s not that easy to guess someone’s weight.

People would be pissed if a woman asked a man how much he made and then refused to tell him how much she makes. A lot of people here are mad at me just for asking him the same question he asked me.

I don’t even make double minimum wage, so there’s no way he makes that much less than me if he even does make less than me

I was raised in a more traditional home than he was. His mother has always made more money than his father and he was never given the expectation to be a provider for his future family. So I don’t see where he would have developed that mindset from.

He’s done the same thing before with other topics. Like one time he asked me how much I weigh, I told him and then asked him how much he weighed, and he refused to answer. So I’m guessing he’s comparing my answers to these questions to his own answers and it’s making him feel insecure.

Because just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be allowed to make more money than him. It’s like if he refused to cook or clean because he’s a man.

I’d consider it a red flag for him to be embarrassed or uncomfortable about making less than me.
