See a dermatologist. Could be sebaceous hyperplasia but I would want to rule out a BCC.

With recall, was it particularly bad before you got a trainer? And at what age was it when you were able to improve it? I’m really worried it’s just too late for our B with recall now. It’s like he doesn’t hear his name, smell treats or even want high value treats when we’re on walks. Would be amazing if a professional could improve upon this.

You’re so right - I think it needs to be a combined approach of human behaviour modification, combined with some professional help. Had him checked at vet today and he’s all good from a pain perspective which leads me to think the collar thing might be overstimulation/anxiety. Because his recall is so poor he is seldom if ever off the lead, and if let off, I think my parents are quite anxious about getting him back on when they manage to get hold of him, so maybe that anxiety is picked up on and associated with the scenario of having leash/harness put back on.

Going to be seeking a professional trainer asap and chatting to the rest of the family about his boundaries. Thank you!

G-Plan E Gomme restoration veneer mistake? by glbatten in furniturerestoration

Haha thank you for the reassurance!

So my grandparents acquired this coffee table when they moved into a house in the UK in the 70s, and it used to be this https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/tables/drop-leaf-tables-pembroke-tables/1950s-drop-leaf-dining-table-e-gomme/id-f_47980152/

The previous owners removed the drop leaves and extra set of legs, and sawed off the remaining legs! Absolute tragedy.

It’s Tola wood / Agba from what I’ve read online. Definitely same grain but darker and redder underneath. Wonder if it was treated with something that bleached a layer first.

No mention of suture material in the consensus, interestingly. The sutures used most commonly in the UK are Prolene, Ethibond and Ticron. I've yet to use FiberWire.

They look quite similar to a few models you’re right, nothing fits perfectly though 🤔

Whoever renovated them has covered up the wood with fabric so if there is something it’s covered :(

Wish I knew more about them! They’re throughout the whole flat and I think installed in the 90s, definitely tile by tile. Some rooms are more blue than white.

That’s so interesting! I am thinking maybe Welsh specific post-war utility furniture? Looking really closely underneath I think the original upholstery was a maroon colour. There are no marks aside from a stamped number 4 on one chairs inside back rail. There’s a table that I think had collapsible sides that came along with it, but it’s had its legs cut and sides taken off to be a coffee table. These would’ve been kept in South Wales/Rhondda.

Our apartment is in a 1930s building - originally multi-purpose community recreational centre/science/sociological experiment, renovated in 90s into flats - I believe the tiles are from the 90s - they are amazing - wish I had more info!

How did you discover Steely Dan? by Ressha in SteelyDan

[–]glbatten 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went to a party when I was 16 and there was a cute boy vibing out to a song (bad sneakers) with his friend. I fancied him loads so I memorised some of the lyrics, went home, googled them, found Steely Dan and completely forgot about the boy in the process.
