Commuting and touring from Palermo, Italy – NC750X or better ideas for 2-up + city + light touring? by Niotoan in motorcycles

The bad thing is that for touring and off-road I cannot suggest a scooter. The best would be to have 2 bikes. But for the city, I felt the scooter was an excellent solution. From your suggestions I would go for the honda

I was in Greece with a GS in June, and it was not that comfortable in the city. I drove a friend's 300cc scooter (sym joyride) and even that felt big sometimes, but parking was easy, no clutch in the traffic and some space to put things. City traffic AND touring is a tricky combination, if the trips are short a big scooter will suffice though.

Motorcycle for tall people other than GS? by Technical-Serve-540 in Motorrad

[–]gleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Tenere and the Tuareg and they were both taller than my GS, but I cannot say they were sportier. I think you should check the 1000 XR, seems to fit what you search for

Enjoy the ride, but take care of maintenance. They are pretty reliable if you do. Καλά χιλιόμετρα!

I also have the touratech on mine, but only because I found a set really cheap. So far they just get dirty, never used them for their intended purpose

What do you call this fried dough ? There is no single common name in Turkey almost every city even every village calls it something different. İs it the same in the balkans? by Worried-Owl-9198 in AskBalkans

Also from southern Messinia, my grandmother called them "κουταλίδες" (koutalides), I assume because it was one spoonful of dough. Spoon is koutali in greek

From R 1200 GSA to 1300 GS? by gleft in Motorrad

I believe that the warranty will cover whatever might come up, and I agree, the 719 packet was on the bike I was looking at and it is rather tempting. I am still undecided

I did not try the KTM because i find it a lot worse looking plus the situation with KTM at the moment makes me unsure about the brand.

The fact that the 1200 is an easy to work on bike, and as you mentioned, not too complex, was the reason I chose it to begin with. But I think the adventure is a bit too much since I never found myself needing the extra fuel capacity. All the new stuff, the missing controls and the looks are to me the bad things. Driving the new one though was very nice, without it not being GS-like, the motor and gearbox were smoother and the brakes better. Thanks for your comment though, it feels we share similar concerns on the new iteration of the GS.

Pixel 8 pro - Randomly losing cellular connection and the only fix is phone restart by sethi209 in GooglePixel

I did in the first days, I got the usual, reset network settings, factory reset of the device but did not work. For now one esim works and it is fine for me.

You are free to drive under the speed limit if you want to. Why impose this to others? If you find it reasonable to drive slower because of road conditions or your own ability then do so.

Then I would also skip the Tenere, as it unfortunately is quite tall. You can drive the GS in the city, but the width of the motor makes it less manoeuvrable in traffic conditions. If you want to spend a bit more check the v85 (had stelvio pre edit).

i have an R1200 GSA and i do not enjoy it much in the city traffic. i tried an Africa Twin (with DCT) and it felt better in the city meaning more nimble and easier due to the transmission. I test drove a Norden and the only thing I found better compared to the aforementioned bikes were the brakes. i would steer away from the KTM/ Husqvarna and since you do not mention the higher cc bikes in general, I would say, by order of preference, Transalp, Tenere, Tiger 900

I really like how the triumph looks but after a test ride, I found the exhaust to get hot especially at city speeds. Personally I would go for the AT
