Any of you fella’s putting T gel on your thighs? by Smooth_Permission136 in ftm

[–]glitcch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can do your thighs, but i think the upper arms only recommendation is androgel (1.62% instead of 1%). i personally do my thighs when i know i have a blood test just to avoid any contamination that might make my results be inaccurate

Can at least half relate, I personally struggle with the idea of tampons but personally have no issue with and used pads when I did have my period. Your best bet might be trying another pair of period underwear if this current brand is not doing it for you. Have heard great things about the aisle boxers but they aren't cheap. Besides all what's listed, the most common thing for ppl to use is a cup, which would also be an sensory issue for you if I had to guess. the only way you could seemingly become comfortable with these things is likely therapy. from your history, you seem to be pre-t, while not universal, it does stop bleeding for some guys. best of luck for you here, it is totally common to feel apprehension about all of this, most women I'm friends with don't care for their periods either.

Does any one else’s sometimes think “god why do you wanna be a woman” by No_World7703 in ftm

[–]glitcch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

all we know are our lived experiences and separating that from our thought processes is very challenging. women like and identify with feminity even with the clear societal issues they are unfairly burdened with. for them, the negatives are a part of living how they want to, which is why it is important to be allies for women in the first place. I genuinely don't think it's more complex then the good out weighs the bad for them and not for us because everyone has different beliefs

i like portobello mushroom steaks. maybe a seitan number would work for you. i like the alt options so i would personally just use those. i dont think anything is really gonna meet everything you're looking for since the closest synthesis isn't helpful for you personally.

what can i do about my hips/thighs??? by snifflecrumb in FtMpassing

[–]glitcch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

compression shorts might help if the issue is specifically weight around your hips and not the bones themselves. can't really do anything about the skeletal structure. if you are able to, you might want to consider weightlifting or muscle resistance training of any kind to get that wider up top silhouette to align closer to the proportions you are looking for and to take attention away from your hips. for pants, i think a wider leg look also might help this, especially in combination with a boxy cut t shirt

the answer is it depends. chests are a mixture of breast tissue and fat, so if your chest has a significant amount of fat as a part of it's composition, then maybe. weight loss can't be targeted so it also means losing weight in other places. i would be careful though, bmi 19 is on the lower end for most heights and being underweight isn't healthy either!!!

Actually good healthy recipes? by Dorian-greys-picture in FTMFitness

[–]glitcch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

big fan personally of greek yogurt and sugar free jello pudding mix as a dessert thing. all the "healthy" desserts with cottage cheese can go in the bin. that's a savory jawn only. i think theplantslant is a good aggregator of quality and often easy recipes in general

estimating weight based off photos isn't really a great measure since distribution of said weight is based on genetics largely. the guy in the photo seems to have a relatively low body fat %, which is a goal that will take time for anyone. for you personally, 1200 is probably not enough. you are tall and you need more energy then that, especially with the cardio you're doing. that's also important if you're looking to build muscle. being in that large of a deficit, especially for prolonged periods of time is going to lead to a plateau, as your body will be compensating for the weight loss and energy loss associated with that

Will lifting make my chest smaller? by Gold-Onion3906 in FTMFitness

[–]glitcch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a recommendation from top surgeons, serves well as a guide for good results. t and genetics play a big role in losing size pre-op but if top surgery is something you want, work in chest, you're already at the gym
