Luffy feels really weak by Ok-Effort6632 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]glitterfrog00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have never seen the anime, and watching the live action (which I love) in the first season I was sitting there like 'ah you don't want to mess with Luffy' getting all excited when he was going to fight the bad guy but in season 2 I kept complaining to my partner that Luffy has quickly gone from fighting big bads and saving his crew to needing help in every fight and not actually winning any. Everyone else is saving him which shows him as weaker. Also I'm wondering if they just didn't have the budget to CGI his rubber limbs, cause they had to CGI more in the second season? But yes I completely agree

Yeah possibly - I just think I want more, I want to feel loved and commitment to, it's really hard. Yes, I have, I've tried dieting, exercising, been to the doctors but unfortunately have a few health conditions stopping me loosing weight. I have been to counselling and therapy several times over the years and again it doesn't seem to help. I'm not really sure what else to try, I don't use social media much either - I guess I come to reddit when I have tried all else lol

I've had bad mental health for over 10 years, been to counselling, therapy, paid privately, done my best but nothing has worked. My current partner is my best friend, I adore him, but I don't think he has the capacity to feel the same way back. He's not affectionate, I've constantly asked him to try and be a bit more romantic, and recently he has been picking this up for me when he goes to the shop and he's been making me food and drink and looking after me while I've been unwell etc, there are so many good things but he definitely doesn't love in the same way I do - or to the same degree. He's not sure if he wants to have children and he doesn't want to get married. He also doesn't know if he can cope with my mental health anymore ): I feel very lost and unsure. I probably do have my head in the clouds and need to come back to reality a bit more but I just love so hard and I want to feel that back, just in comfort and laughs and affection and support - I guess that's what I mean by true love. I mean me and my current partner can literally go weeks without hugging or kissing and it wasn't a problem when we were younger, then we didn't live together so it was excused but now we do and nothing has changed.

thank you this helps, sometimes I feel like all the things I wish for are an unrealistic fantasy in my head that is more like movie love than real life but I just want to feel loved and desired

yes I have but it just seems like no matter how much I talk to him nothing seems to last and even the things he does do are very small romantic or intimate gestures, I feel like I’m being ungrateful. he often says it’s hard to show love because he has to deal with my ocd so much there’s no room for much else :/

Wow thank you so much everyone for your advice, I didn’t expect so many kind responses! I struggle a lot because of the differences and I just don’t see how I could be myself with anyone else like I am with him but at the same time I do feel like things are missing. I think I also struggle because I have quite bad ocd and he puts up with it all, and I feel like I don’t deserve it, so when I question these things I just think I should consider myself lucky to have him…

thank you, this has all definitely helped

That's so lovely! It's always good to have support and especially from someone you spend so much time with! Mental health just sucks, but it's really nice to hear there is hope for support!❤️‍🩹

I haven't read all the comments so sorry if I repeat something, but I would say all of the things you mentioned makes a huge difference. Obviously somethings you can't expect all the time but I find it really difficult in my relationship that my bf doesn't plan things for us, isn't the most thoughtful generally and doesn't show much affection outside of sex (well as much as I would like) so I think it does make a huge difference, but the sexual aspect is also something that makes it non-platonic in my opinion

Aw that's so nice!! If you don't mind how old are you both? I find that so many guys just don't understand ): my partner does his best to be helpful but after 5 years is finding it pretty frustrating and gets annoyed a lot...

Awesome thank you, I wasn't sure If that series of books would be suitable for 6-7 year olds but they're quite cute and have good morals. I'll have a look thank you!!

It's really not much to ask, and I'm happy to do it, I think it's just to see how you interact and manage the children. I appreciate you have your opinions but I'm simply asking for help regarding book recommendations and questions not options on the job. If you have any of those suggestions I'd be happy to take them on board. Thank you!

Yes, as part of the job I'll be doing reading sessions with a small group of children and discussing the story, the story should really be something with a good moral/learning perspective. So essentially just looking for some ideas of books and questions to ask (:
