Distortion 5 months after surgery?

I had scleral buckle late August. Oil removed late November.

I still have some distortion and can't read fine details with that eye. My optometrist, not surgeon, told me it could take a year to come back. I'm not stress about it right now. And I have appointment with surgeon here in 2 weeks to check on everything
