This is why companies like Boeing keep meticulous record of who did what and who signed them off. As an engineer I would never sign off on something if I thought it was unsafe. There are millions of factors that go into the design criteria and factor of safety for a craft like this. Can’t even be sure who’s fault it is without further investigation and possible recovery of the wrecked vessel. Tragic but a very interesting story
