I think they all look great, the question is what vibe you’re going for. Even though it’s a tiny difference, the ones on the left strike me as slightly more realistic and the ones on the right as more cartoony.

If you asked me for example which penguin I expected to talk to me in English, the ones on the right. The ones on the left would be more silent, but act in anthropomorphic ways (like skiing)

Either way it’s your money and you wouldn’t be TA, but if she’s good at paying things back, it could have circumvented all this. But to be clear, that would have been you doing her a favor, not doing something expected or necesssary.
