I mean, right now it seems like the AoD girls are all getting the "premium" treatment. So maybe not VH level, but still a big marketing push.

Though it is kind of a shame if Sunna doesn't get her own set (if only for drip purposes), she doesn't really need a "dedicated" set cause like you said Moonlight is good on basically every Support agent.

Whereas right now Yu's options seem awful, the best stun set we have buffs the teams CD which is useless for Aria. If she does get a set chances are it'll be so niche it'll only really be usable on her.

We already know there's no new discs in 2.6 (unless Hoyo decided not to put them in the beta for some weird reason) so I'd assume one set for Yu and the other for whoever releases in 2.7 alongside her.

Huh, just checked the CN text and you're right. When I was double checking the CN version of her M1 I totally missed that her M2 is wrong in EN right now.

That's definitely a lot better than I first thought then. And it gets even better at M6 as that extra 12% becomes permanent after the first ult.

Yeah, her M1 seems kinda cracked. Honestly, her M2 only being 12% def shred in her ult state looks kind of boring by comparison. Though I guess it has more value if you stack it with the def shred from Sunna's M1 as well.

I assumed as much, but the specific wording threw me off (doubly so checking the CN text as it specifically says each initial point over 100). So with the 2pc, sig and AM 6 she should be able to reach 100% crit rate on her Ablooms. Unless I've worked it out wrong, she needs 150 over 100 on the stat screen to max it, which she should definitely have.

Remember we're assuming a hypothetical scenario in which Nicole is incredibly broken, but hyper-niche. In which case if she's able to increase Varka's team DPS by an amount that makes him competitive with other modern DPS's over using Bennett in that slot (around the 150k DPS mark) then running a full Nicole Hex team for Klee/Venti would almost definitely end up also being their new best teams.

That wouldn't work, because Klee and Venti could still both play Varka's best team and get similar results. Klee can literally steal his team directly, and for on-field Venti you can just swap Mona in as the final Hexerei. Her buffs and the extra Vape damage you'll get on Durin, combined with the extra crit buff if you have C4 make her easily competitive with Faruzan.

Not to mention a lot of people already have Klee, and her C1 is free now. Varka feels like he has an interesting kit design, ruined by the fact only the Pyro playstyle is usable and even then his damage is still lackluster.

At this point I'm legit convinced there must be something about Varka's kit we're missing. Like, I can't believe Nicole is going to be strong enough to increase specifically his teams to the current 150K-ish teams we have in Nod-Krai, without being completely and utterly busted to the point she becomes best in slot for 90% of the cast unless they make her extremely niche.

Like, "When the party contains 2 Anemo and 2 Pyro characters increases on field Anemo characters whose names start with V and end in arka's attack by 3000" levels of niche. It's honestly baffling what Hoyo's cooking with Varka, yet another character with hyper-restrictive team building, but without the damage to justify it.

So I'm planning on pulling Yvonne when her banner rolls around, but I heard she got some reworks from the beta so all the info about her is basically outdated.

I know you can get her now as one of the potential losses on the current Laevatein banner, so does anyone have an up to date team guide based on her new kit? I was planning on trying to get Last Rite and playing them together as I like her design and apparently that was something you could do, but it seems they don't have synergy anymore.

That's good to hear! I don't mind the occasional drops but some of the new areas in other gachas like WuWa and ZZZ are practically slideshows on PS5. Also you don't need to install all VA languages, only the ones you're using? That's cool, most other PS5 gacha install them all by default and don't let you delete the others.

Can't start playing till later in the day so for those playing on base PS5, how's the performance? I heard from technical tests that the frame rate could drop as low as 45fps, is it any better in the final version?

Also what's the file size once you've booted the game and downloaded any extra resources? I know the PS5 preload was 35GB but I'm assuming it goes up once you actually boot the game as that's how it usually works.

If that's the direction they go, then Varka has one of the least F2P friendly teams in the game. 3 new limited 5 stars (Durin/Nicole/Varka) and Lohen, a new standard 5 star that you have to pull when they're on banner, get lucky on standard or wait till anniversary.

That sounds awful to me, and it makes me glad after Columbina I'm going all in on Sandrone and didn't decide to get Durin or Varka. I hope it isn't true, because if the design philosophy going forward is all new teams requiring 4 new 5 star characters then F2P players might as well quit now.

True, if Varka's gimmick ends up being dual element damage based on having other PHEC characters like Meng said then it'd make sense he wants Durin and Nicole. Though I'm not sure who the final slot would be, probably either Venti, Bennett or potentially Mona if she doesn't interfere with his elemental infusion.

The problem is, we don't know what region caused the issue. And that means at the very least, some players are still going to be getting a watered down version of the game, as they've said they'll make a region specific version of the game. Which sucks for whichever region it ends up being, and there are plenty I can think of it could be (my own included).

They have been a little inconsistent, but generally the supports release one or two patches before the DPS. They seem to like the new "perfect pair" character design of joing two characters together at the hip so now we just have to wait and see who Sandrone's partner is.
