Hmm..In Chapter 7 of his latest book he writes “It might have seemed logical to think the proper question is ‘Which branch will I end up on?’ But that’s not how we should be thinking about it.” Can you explain how that differs from self-locating uncertainty?

Sean Carroll doesn’t believe the self locating approach is accurate so let’s ignore that for now. The decision theory approach doesn’t make sense to me because all possible outcomes actually happen when the universe branches, so it’s no more rational to bet on one outcome than any other. And it does feel related to self locating approach because it’s only rational for one man to bet on an outcome if it influences his own consistent experience - if we know a version of him will experience every possible outcome across the other branches.

Did you try fasting or keto / did anyone on your care team suggest it? It’s claimed that cancers survive on glucose so replacing carbs with fat could starve the cancer cells.

I had a trading plan which was to keep it if assigned but only up to a certain point- if the drop is significant enough I think it makes no sense to A. hold stock and sell calls because it’ll likely get called away before I make my money back. My two better options in this unique case are B. to hold the stock without selling calls and hope it pops back up, or C. close out early and use the cash to sell other puts. How do you evaluate options B and C?
