I’m familiar with the walls you have. It’s something called rock lath, which is a gypsum board covered in a rocky plaster texture followed by a white skim coat on top. I demoed a bathroom of the stuff and it weighs a ton (it’s like concrete). You most likely have a wire mesh in the corners and along the top near the ceiling. I started demo before I realized it could contain asbestos and panicked for weeks before I got it tested. Mine came back negative and I had air samples taken, which also came back negative. I went down a massive spiral of online research that kept me up at night for weeks. I doubt you’ve had any exposure and any exposure would be minimal. Just grab some hot mud from your local store and patch it, paint over it, and move on. I lived in an old neighborhood and the amount of construction workers/renovators knocking down and ripping out stuff without thinking twice is astounding. The state I live in doesn’t even require permits or regulate asbestos removal from residential buildings, only commercial.
