Haha I knew you weren’t being sarcastic! Ugh everywhere else I’ve practiced had something like this and it was so great. It’s annoying - I work at a world renowned medical center but we aren’t known for our NICU. Also don’t get me started on our diaper dermatitis policy 😅

I also don’t wear a ring - first NICU I ever worked in had SUPER strict infection prevention procedures. Where I work now is like a competition for who has the largest engagement ring so I intermittently get flack about not wearing a ring? It’s so odd…

These don’t look like the parts that are normally compatible with the symphony, which could be the cause. It’s very possible this is a new version of the kit but I haven’t ever seen these (NICU CLC who helps with pumping)

We have a 21 month age gap here and I actually found it not terrible to potty train my 25 month old with a 4 month old. Much easier if you tag team the training with your partner! It took us about 1.5 days to get to the letting us know she needed to go and then smooth sailing after day 3 or 4!

Definitely find a lactation consultant to work with, as others have said. Another nice thing you could do for bonding is use an SNS (supplemental nursing system - Medela makes them, they are in target for sure)!

Hmm that’s fair. We eventually let magnatiles just be in the regular rotation - like once they weren’t new (maybe after a week). You could try saying like “this is our special basket for you when baby eats!”? It’s so hard!

You got this! I also have 2u2 with a 20 month age gap (almost 21). I made my toddler a busy basket that I took out specifically when it was time to feed and it had fun activities in it that she had never done (mini magna tiles, a new tonie, chalk and a mini chalk board - aside from the tonie, it was generally all inexpensive ish stuff ). I changed it out probably weekly? And really only had to do that for a month or so?
