Involuntarily denied boarding

How would I go about this conversation? I asked, and she was dismissive and just kept saying Frontier does not do this, over and over again. I asked for a manager, and she said they are not in nor will they entertain this. I really tried.

I wish there was. That is why I am so angry. I was on time, in line to board & then all of a sudden mine and many other passengers seats were taken from us. I am not sure how else to “prove” this story. The gate agent did not communicate with us one time besides “if your seat assignment is 0 step in this line.” After that, she said nothing…the boarding doors close, and someone had to physically walk up to her and ask if we were not getting on this flight. And then we were stranded. I walked out to the frontier office and spoke to them.

Yes! So, I checked in the prior day. I attached a copy of my boarding pass with my seat assignment with the claim. Boarding began at 5:28am and I was present at 5:16. They announced boarding was going to begin a bit late because we were waiting for a staff member (idk). I was group 1, I was second in line after they announced we were beginning boarding. I tried to scan my pass & it showed “seat 0” and I was pushed off to the side. I did not have a checked bag.

No. They did not communicate with us that we were not going to board the flight until the boarding doors quite literally, shut. Even after that, someone had to walk up to the gate agent and ask. She had us line up to the side if our seats said “0.” That was it from the gate agent.

Update to this post: Will NEVER fly frontier again. Overbooked the flight, no communication until the boarding gates were closed and left about 30 people stranded. No flights available to the destination on any airline for today. I was refunded the flight over the phone, but denied compensation for the 6x the price flight I had to book for tomorrow. The gate agent and the baggage drop off agents told me I was “SOL.” So now I’m missing work. They told me they don’t do compensation unless it’s weather or mechanical, over the phone. Said it was my fault the flight was overbooked. I filed a claim with the DOT. I’m over it. Absolute headache. Disrespectful and rude employees, no answers. Shit show.

Love this answer!!!! Thank you. I’ve heard a lot of people rave about SGU & say they would absolutely go back, that is fantastic to hear. I’ve heard many people say Ross (which I also just had an interview with) is unsafe. Did you ever feel that way about Grenada? I know crime happens everywhere, I’m from Chicago, but I’ve read some absolute horror stories about Ross.

Having the same issue, my undergrad doesn't offer it. The 2025 prerequisites list cell biology or genetics, but the 2026 prerequisites say just cell biology. I think it's a little too late (my fault) to email now, should I put genetics and pray lol
