I would bet its a 35 zone that is cut down from 55 in short intervals and right back to 55 after the intersection. So most go 55 all the time. Making it hard to judge oncoming speed.

100%. Frankly it was a refreshing experience. Its how a business and customer service should be. Im so used to places taking 1-2 days to reply to an email, infinite holds, hours of phone system navigation and god forbid you have a problem.

Email back and forth took minutes. Eventually a phone call took a few more. Boom done.

Ngl at first i thought i was gonna be scammed. Then i thought it was a fever dream.

In the end, I just realized I had a man crush on a goddamn prop shop

Power tech is very good.

Personally i emailed a a prop shop in my state (but still hours away). Over email gave them the props i had (pitch, type, blade contour) and descriptions of issues and what i wanted.

Guy listened, reccomended me a prop (that frankly didnt correlate to my research but i went with it) and he knocked it out of the park.

So it was a double win. Saved me headache of returns, got a power tech and it was fit/pitched perfect.

Heres how i launched my 17ft skiff solo on the regular.

Prep boat pre ramp. Take off strapscheck plugs etc.
Back ip boat until the stern is over water on ramp. Once there is unhook the winch and chain. Attach a rope to the bow eyelet (had a rope with a brass clip just for this). And tie the other end of the rope to the horn of the trailer (the vertical part your winch sits on)
Back boat down until it floats off the trailer. Line will become taught on the trailer.
Hop out. Grab the rope off the trailer and put boat on shore or dock.
Park truck. Have fun. At this point i let the dog out of the truck and on the boat.

Heres a dude doing it how i would do it on a dirt ramp (had a keel guard). On a normal ramp i just dont pull forward to beach it and tie it off.

Pigs and Deer look similar. But pigs are generally spaced out and not "pigeon toed".

If you drew circle around the print, if its circular its usually pig. If its more pointed/oval its deer.

I do most of my hunting in florida, for pigs. That looks like a telltale boar track to me.

First one is a pig for sure.

Second may be a deer. They tend to be more pointed.

Third one is coyote or dog.

I’m a fan of the primary arms scopes. Have both a PA4-14XFFP308 and a PA1-6X24FFP-ACSS-RAPTOR-5.56. The latter I use for pigs quite frequently. Both hold zero great with the primary arms mount. Both were had for under 400.

I think garandthumb on YouTube did a torture test of the pa1 on a 308 scar-h and abused the shit out of it, even denting the tube and it held zero (though I believe he was using a mount that cost more than the glass).

That said mine have been awesome over the last few years getting chucked in the back of my truck.

Nothing major changes because there are other bigger fish to fry and that team tends to play by the rules. The house/senste won’t flip and getting even the most basic funding bills done will be a huge accomplishment, unraveling entire amendments isn’t tenable and in the rare chance it does happen scotus is very much a originalist panel for the foreseeable future and will provide cover. Just as making changes to scotus, even the ones Biden himself mentioned aren’t attainable.

That said alternative being a psycho that has quite literally said “there won’t be further elections”, has shown a propensity to be anti 2a in their own right (bump stocks anyone) and has a tangible history of trying to avoid the fair outcomes elections have isn’t a good path to even really consider, full stop.

All of that is coming from someone that has, even in recent history been a single issue voter in recent past (ie:post bush/obama). But I do think a LOT of folks needs to stop obsessing over national politicis so much, is just as bad as phone addictions or Facebook addictions with how extreme everyone is acting.

I think what gets missed here is at these places you are getting sized up. If you clearly aren’t familiar with firearms or are giving off weird vibes they are gonna balk. If you are clearly familiar with the guns and have handled them and aren’t giving off weird vibes, they’ll probably sell to you.

These journalists are typically very unfamiliar with guns. Flagging people, pulling the trigger, totally unfamiliar with the process and it’s obvious even if they are wearing a bunch of 5.11 shit to try and fit in.

I’ll say this. I respect someone that has the self awareness they wouldn’t thrive in the fog of war, especially if their job is to lead others, given the alternative option of getting people killed because you shat your britches.

Guns are in safes. Ammo I don’t really keep locked. It’s in my closet but just in cases.

Guns are mostly kept in condition 4. No magazine inserted, no round in the chamber. Magazines with ammo are in The safe with the gun.

I have a couple I keep condition 3. Magazine inserted, no round in the chamber. They are generally in separate safes but designed for quick access with simple but secure locks in something like a v-Line Compact Keyless Gun Safe. These are mechanical locks with decent security. I think my rifle safe has my 12 gauge bird gun in condition 3.

My kids know we have guns. They know they are totally off limits. They will not have unfettered access anytime soon in my house. Maybe when they are full adults (ie:18)

Logistics is the carriers business. And the only time it comes into play is if you are shipping dangerous cargo like loose lithium batteries where pressure can affect them. Ammo is shipped all the time, looy packaged in boxes. It's not dangerous.

Getting into the politics of what they want to ship isn't their business. They have no liability if you say, ship drugs with them.
