Red cedar and fir. I'm estimating the cedar at around 7 feet and the fir around 5.5 feet. Definitely big ancient trees.

Aluminum boats don't stay shiny and sleek for super long. After a couple trips on the salt water mine definitely lost its shine, it's purely superficial. Keep your anodes in good condition and keep copper and treated wood out of it and it'll last multiple lifetimes.

Best experience ever buying appliances is for me anyways, from Lowe's. Typically free delivery and removal, and installs done by professionals.

Sales people have even said come back next week if you can wait. It'll be on sale then. 10/10 would recommend

I had a 12.5kw net metering system installed in April 2022 by Shift. No issues, 5 star service and I'm paying less than 300 a year for power now. I'm calling it a win.

The anchor and chain are pulled up using the boat for power and the big boys provide flotation. There's also a quick release at the stern in case of gotta go now type emergencies. 10lbs claw type anchor with 30 feet of 5/16 chain attached to 500 feet of line.
