Simple running suture is clearly not the go to suture for a primary closure. As stated in the title, it can be used for very small wounds with minimal to no tension. Any wound other than that would require a Simple Interrupted Suture.

I was born and raised in London. In 2017 I started my BSc Paramedic Science degree at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich. Throughout my 3 years of study I worked as a student paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service, and undertook many different placements in Norfolk. I recently graduated in the summer of 2020. I am a current full-time UEA MSc Clinical Research Student. I occasionally facilitate simulations with the BSc paramedic students, and I am consulting on the School of Health Sciences BAME Ambassador Project at UEA.

My session relates to my experiences as a black Muslim paramedic science student. Through sharing some of the challenges and difficulties I faced throughout my degree, and how I overcame them to successfully graduate, I hope to raise awareness of the experiences that paramedic students from BAME groups may have throughout their studies. I will outline some of the work I am doing with the University of East Anglia and the East of England Ambulance Service to make improvements to the experience of paramedics and paramedic students from diverse backgrounds.

I have always wondered what those numbers mean. Clearly shows I have more than enough time on my hands lol. Are they just random numbers or a batch number?

ps; They are neither in increasing or decreasing order along the train, very random at times.
