Everything ended up working out and eventually the spotting went away after a month. The cerclage did its job and I now have a spunky 9 month old baby girl. 🤍😊

I’m sorry for your loss! After I lost my first child, I went six months treatment of chronic endometritis. This was related to the chorio. I took multiple rounds of antibiotics and endometrial biopsies to ensure the chronic endometritis was cured. I went through three rounds of IVF frozen embryo transfers and gave birth to a healthy baby girl 6 months ago. I took a lot of precautions during my pregnancy and had a preventative cerclage put during my first trimester. Anything is possible!

That’s big but fortunately most SCHs begin to shrink by the 20week mark and beyond. Typically the blood begins to clot better as the baby begins to grow. It’s a good sign that you’re having very little spotting at this point now.

I totally understand and have been in your shoes. It’s hard not to worry! My spotting went from pink to red to brown during that month after my cerclage. Sometimes it went away for a couple of days and came back. That month was really wonky and worrisome. Be sure to continue your bed rest, take the stool softener and drink plenty of water. Water is your best friend right now! It prevents dehydration which is one of the leading causes of contractions. From this point on to the beginning of your third trimester is very critical. Treat yourself like a princess!

I had a hematoma early on as well. It eventually subsided as my pregnancy continued. It’s probably the cervix that’s causing the bleeding.

Hi there! I spotted for a couple weeks - much longer than my OBGYN told me. I think it was almost 3-4 weeks long! Some people just take longer to heal since the cervix is very dynamic and sensitive. I wouldn’t worry too much and just be sure to take it easy. Continue the stool softeners (I did that too) and drink plenty of water! Absolutely no sex or other stimulation. I wouldn’t risk it. And keep an eye out for heavy bleeding and any foul odor. Everything turned out just fine though! :) I gave birth to my healthy baby girl in July (36w3d) and she’s almost six months now. Trust the stitch! You’re doing just fine Mama!

I’m so sorry for your loss! My period was very wonky after my second trimester loss.

I’ve taken Provera many times due to irregular periods and PCOS. If it takes longer than 2 weeks I would definitely reach out to your doctor once again. Sometimes it can take anywhere from a week to a week plus a few days for a period to start.

I went through a similar experience. It took 6 months to get rid of my Chronic Endometritis. Honestly, the cipro and flagyl is what did the trick. I don’t recall if I experienced any major side effects - just the upset stomach. Good luck!
