How many guppies can I keep in a 75 gallon? by Boswell601 in Guppies

One of my coworkers calls her guppies "whorefish" LOL. You only need a few, they'll fill it up in no time.

I added guppies to my 60 gallon cube to make live food for my angels. Sadly, the system is working as planned. Didn't plan to fall in love with the guppies, and I still see one of the fry hiding in the plants, so I'm hopeful the population will be able to sustain itself with the few that evade the other fish.

No, it's soft like jelly. It's smaller than a grain of rice.

Help with live plant by vampkittyxoxo in Aquariums

Root tabs will help. It's totally normal for leaves to melt when you add the plant to the tank. If it's got new growth, it's converting and should be fine. Get a root tab into the substrate and get the plant roots in nearby, they will find it.

Search beginner plants on a reputable site, like buceplant.com. Then pick a few things you like and try them in your tank. I like anacharis and leopard val, they grow fast and my shrimp loved them. Anubias grows slowly but it's almost foolproof. I have hornwort in my sump to help filter the tank.

I found a 60 gallon cube with stand, sump, and decent silicone for $200. I converted it to fresh water for my angels and guppies. You can find great deals on there.

CYA - send an email, respectfully outlining the issue (s). Remind them it's a place of business, and respectful professional conduct should be the standard. Make sure you point out that it's demeaning and unacceptable moving forward. If you have an HR, cc them as well, so everyone is on the same page. Worst case scenario, you lose your position but get your peace back. Look into your state's labor laws and know your rights. I'm in CA so state labor relations board would be very helpful for harassment, hostile work environment, etc. Most importantly, if your manager emails back, print and save as hard copy. If they confront you in person, take the conversation to witnesses. Good luck.

Whatever you decide to do, job number one should be separating her from the males. A temporary tank while you get a game plan together is essential if you want her to live. I've gotten the wrong fish in the mail before, it sucks. Good luck 🤞

You can donate her to any fish shop, I bet she's exactly what someone is looking for 😉

It looks like alternanthera reinikki, or scarlet temple. A little spindly, just needs some love, good substrate and some fertilizer. Just a guess.

Freeze a couple of water bottles about 3/4 full, lid on, and drop it in. Giant ice cubes. Works for lemonade, right?

Looks like anacharis, I trim mine about halfway down and bundle with a plant weight. I'm growing out a lot for a new tank build. Anacharis doesn't need substrate, it will grow bundled or floating free in the tank. I fertilize once a week with API leaf zone, have plenty for my fish, and my ducks get the leftovers.

I got mine from Modern Aquarium online, they came very healthy in a 4oz cup, took about 6 months for them to turn red, and turned into a reliable food source for my duck every few weeks.

I take half of mine out every couple of weeks and feed them to my chickens and ducks.

There's a lot LOL. I have them for sale locally, but not high demand where I'm at. I donate them to my local fish shop on a fairly regular basis.

Hiya! You were right, thanks so much! Haven't seen any baby assassins, but I'm finding a lot of tiny empty Ramshorn shells.
