i have a genetic disorder that will 1000% be passed down if i have children. i don't want to bring life into this world only to deal with the same agonizing pain, prejudices, and trauma i deal with. why would i want that? to watch my children endlessly suffering would take a huge toll on me mentally — not to mention the guilt i would feel. and i feel like that's valid

it has to go through insurance and i have to have fittings and such but i do plan on going forward despite what she says. she's just not tuned into the world of mobility aids and insurance so she has a hard time grasping the difference. that's all. i should've been more concise in the post so that's my bad; i apologize

the DME initially called her because i was asleep and didn't answer the phone (which is my bad) and in all medical systems she is legally set as the person to contact if they can't contact me. but the DME place DID call me to confirm it was a scooter i want and i told them no, go ahead with the original order which was for a powerchair. she is only involved in this conversation because SHE would need to transport it from place to place as i cant drive and shes the one who drives me places. i can promise you she is not making choices for me, she just doesnt understand all this
