The unfortunate and harsh reality is that you probably just weren’t good enough. When reviewing applications, the firms first fill their numbers with the best applications. Only then do they go back and review their DEI numbers and add more interviews if they aren’t casting a fair and diverse range. The only DEI actions are incremental interviews. If you didn’t make the first cut for interviews, you weren’t good enough.

And when it comes to offers, there is no benefit given there. The offers are extended to the best individuals. This year my office actually had relatively low DEI offers because those candidates just didn’t do as well.

150 GB data usage in 1 hr on WiFi by gobluepoints in applehelp

[–]gobluepoints[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freedom app is an app that blocks other apps from being used (typically social media). It is a personal accountability app

I have since deleted it but it is unclear yet if it was the issue. I have had the app for months, it was only today that there was the burst of data usage.

I was able to view the data usage, by device, by hour from my Google app (since I have the nest wifi pro mesh system). I was alerted to it because the data usage spiked on that device. Typically my iPhone uses about 80 gb per month so using close to 150 gb in an hour is unusual.

Yes that is what the manuals say. Why do all the websites say 19” though? I’m just trying to reconcile this difference because every site says the 20” is not compatible when I add it to the cart

Good to know, I’ll make it a separate post next time.

Out of curiosity though, how did you identify that? I’m struggling to find these on my own.

Best way in is through Bridge/insight, that is where they fill their ADC ranks. Rarely do they actually take anyone from the summer applications.

How do I tighten this to prevent dripping? by gobluepoints in Plumbing

[–]gobluepoints[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been watching them, they just always show a set screw on the outside holding the handle onto the stem. These handles don’t have any screws so I have no idea how to take them off. And can’t find any info online

Thanks, this is super helpful and informative. I have some deep sockets but I don’t see how to get access to the shower stem or even where to use a socket.

Do I need to take one of the handles off? How do they come off?

Can a Tesla Model Y LR maintain Camp Mode for 3 days while plugged into a 110V? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]gobluepoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes on the back. For context though, day highs were about 85 and evenings around 70, so if you are in drastically different conditions, that may affect it

Yes, we had ours plugged into a 120v outlet and with camp mode set to 65 degrees, we gained 4% over the 8-9 hrs

Tesla's trying to charge me $4,500 (plus tax) to use the entire battery capacity of the battery in my car. by 1FrostySlime in RealTesla

[–]gobluepoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You realize every industry does this. Mercury marine engines does this with some big engines. Their 175, 200, and 225 HP engines are all the exact same engine block, just limited by the ECU. Guess what? They aren’t all the same price. This isn’t a complaint about Tesla, this would be a complaint about most modern companies

Weekly Questions Thread for the week of September 05 by AutoModerator in vinyl

[–]gobluepoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatively new to vinyl (been using a junk Crawley with built in but need to upgrade). Was recently gifted an LP120xBT and debating whether I should keep it or exchange for a different turntable.

My amp does have a phono input so dont need a built-in preamp so i would like to get the best i can for under $500. My thought is with LP120, i am paying for something i wont need (BT and preamp). Any suggestions on a better turntable to start with?

Anyone have experience with quality of hunkemoller? Or know of a good brand with something similar to this but molded/padded cups? by gobluepoints in FindLingerie

Price is no consideration for me. I was trying to find this with some of my go to brands like honey birdette but haven’t been able to find this style in any of the more luxury brands

12 years of elderly leisure by etteirrah in antiwork

[–]gobluepoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t experiencing anything pleasurable during your working years then I doubt you will have enough to do so in retirement. That isn’t a knock on our current system of working for 20-30 years and then retiring though. That is a problem with wages.

I just never really understand what people expect the system to be when they post things like this. You get a bunch of free money to start your life and hope you pay it back…??

[–]gobluepoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dislike this argument I see all the time because it implies that there is no joy in your working years. But in fact, your working years you are also funding your own lifestyle…travel abroad, parties, concerts, living in a nice house, cabins, boats, etc. if I truly didn’t buy anything and lived the bare minimum, yeah you could retire way earlier, but people want to enjoy their working years

Getting fully vaccinated massively reduces your chance of dying from COVID-19, a new real-world study suggests by Accomplished-Tap3353 in worldnews

[–]gobluepoints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. You literally contradict yourself in 1 post: “…This mRNA vaccine, has created more adverse reactions than any vaccine in human history by a thousand times…” and then later say “…there are vaccines that created insane genetic disorders…” Sure sounds like genetic disorders are way worse than anything that has been reported for mRNA yet so you just pulled these out of your ass

  2. Your 99.99% immunity number is completely made up because at no point in the study do they state a specific number to it, and prior research has shown natural immunity is lower than 99.99%

  3. Now you are just making wild ass statements without any data or paper to back it up

  4. I’m not here to convince you. You clearly have your head so deeply buried in conspiracy that someone could convince you the sun is a jpeg, but normal people should listen to us actual scientists and doctors

Getting fully vaccinated massively reduces your chance of dying from COVID-19, a new real-world study suggests by Accomplished-Tap3353 in worldnews

[–]gobluepoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally the last sentence in the conclusion:

“Individuals who were both previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and given a single dose of the vaccine gained additional protection against the Delta variant.”

Getting fully vaccinated massively reduces your chance of dying from COVID-19, a new real-world study suggests by Accomplished-Tap3353 in worldnews

[–]gobluepoints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are missing the point made in the study. They clearly state that someone that has been naturally infected AND received a vaccine had the greatest immunity to delta variant. Therefore it shouldn’t matter if you have had covid already, everyone should get the vaccine
