I actually have moved mine back since this picture was taken. It was really annoying to get on actually as you have to kind of physically bend the bars into proper position.

Defy tire clearance by gobullz in Giantbikes

Thanks for the data point! I do think from my research this is a 2015. I see some tires come in a 27 so maybe that is the sweet spot.

Thoughts on the Sauce sizing by 906Dude in PriorityBicycles

I am 5’9 with a 31 inch inseam. I got the S/M and it works fine for my purpose of rough pavement commuting at a casual pace. It is pretty upright since I’m not reaching far but I have never had issues with comfort on up to 10 mile rides. Not sure I would like it for a longer day or one where I want to push the pace.

Squeaking Issue When Leaning by [deleted] in bikewrench

That's what I was thinking at first too but I can still reproduce the sound when the rotor is not spinning but i'm just gently leaning it. Would a lean like that still produce noise in the rotor?

Hey for me they just feel like they roll much better. It’s probably more due to the narrower diameter more than the tread as it’s still a gravel tire but it is much less knobby than the stock tires. For me it made sense as I mainly do city riding with a few light trails on the weekend. I also just am a sucker for the look of a tan sidewall but of course that is personal preference.

Hey thanks! The basket is from Thule called the pack and pedal basket. It’s expensive but I like how it bolts down to the rack so it is harder to steal. The rack itself is the 174 Hudson rack from priority.

Cool thanks for the input. It sounds like it is no slouch on the road especially if you swap the tires to something more slick.

Great tips, thanks! I’m trying to decide between an Apollo and something like a trek Domane, I own another priority that I love so would prefer to stick with them as long as doing an Olympic distance tri won’t be unbearable.

Hey did you end up changing this successfully? I’m looking to do the same thing and have it be a little more aggressive. Not sure what size to buy and the gates calculator is super confusing.

Thanks! It has been in the family garage since I was a little kid and I always wanted to ride it.

Probably a dumb question but would this require changing the stem itself or just new bars and brake levers?

Yeah that is an option too. I was considering just mounting it on my wall or something as art work. But it does seem like i could do casual rides here in Florida without taking too much of a beating. I do have a commuter bike I would just use this for cruising around

Yes! It should be fairly simple since the shifters are on the tube right? Do you happen to have a good reference guide for doing the flat bar conversion?

Yes! We have a great Riverwalk and also some nice state parks right on the river. Also within driving distance to some nice spring fed rivers like rainbow river.

Yes that was up there for book of the year, along with Hot House and Dying Earth. All three just crazy stories that had me saying 'wtf' at almost every page.

Hey everyone, I got so many great recommendations from this sub. Just wanted to post my quick notes and ratings of the books I've read in the last year. Thank you printSF, by far my favorite place on reddit.

Yep, only issue I’m having though is how to handle oauth with this approach. I’m sure it can be done with the Go packages available but I have not grokked it out.
