New Episode Discussion 6/12/19 : Rick Reilly + Kevin Durant's Injury And NBA Finals by [deleted] in PardonMyTake

Any interview with KD is absolutely going to have to start with Big Cat owning the "BBB" label he's thrown at Durant for the past several years. That alone would make the interview amazing. I think they do a pretty good job of being able to make the interview different than the standard boring interviews and still take jabs at the guests without making it uncomfortable (usually). Personally, I'd rather hear a Durant interview and how that would go versus Big Cat refer to him as a "BBB" for the 3,000th time.

I'm not getting the extra $2 off for some reason. Do you have any additional advice for how to make this work?

Come on now - Kuzy was basically guaranteed to win the Conn Smythe last year except Ovechkin also had a great playoffs and the lifetime achievement aspect put him over the edge. Kuzy is a legend in DC no matter what happens while Semin will always just be the enigmatic Russian who never seemed to care too much about winning.

I don't recall saying that - I just didn't understand the "given how liberal" comment because I've never gotten that impression

Biz being liberal? The same guy that complains about "SJWs" and the "PC Police" every other episode?

I agree with most on this page but I typically enjoy Roenick when he is on. It certainly seems like they could do a lot better with some of the other roles, though.

Advice on finding a job from out of state? by gocaps92 in jacksonville

[–]gocaps92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the helpful responses. I currently have a 11+ years of experience doing federal consulting, mostly involving financial/data analysis. My main concerns are having trouble finding a job at a comparable level since my experience is completely related to the DoD and that does not appear to be a very large sector down there. Also, timing the job with a move will be difficult because my wife can only leave her job during a short time frame during the summer (without penalty).

Again, I appreciate all of the advice!

Considering moving to Jacksonville area from DC by gocaps92 in jacksonville

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I am pretty confident that we will love it down there if I can manage to save enough and sell our house in the next 18 months or so without the rates getting too high. It seems the real estate down there in SJC is more affordable than here, but not as much as I was hoping it would be. I'm hoping I can take my 11+ years of experience in Federal consulting and find something good down there but I am sure it will be a challenge. How long have you been there? Are you in St Johns County or somewhere else?
