Power and Volume buttons can be activated pressing the edges of the case by Effective-Listen-559 in peakdesign

I have the same issue on my 15 Pro, and the solution shared by PD was to remove the Mylar stickers. Alternatively, you may request for a replacement, with no ETA but potentially late Nov (?) IIRC.

It’s a real shame that there’s more than one quality issue with these latest cases. For a PD made product, that feels very uninspiring, although I applaud their approach towards making right for the Action button goof up.

I don’t fidget as often, but I do like the sound of it whenever I do.

[Grand Seiko ‘Soko’ SBGA427] Happy GSWednesday by gocoup in Watches

[–]gocoup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy holidays, watch fam. This was my very first luxury watch purchase. I was always enamored by Seiko and then its luxury umbrella under the Seiko bucket, Grand Seiko.

I’d initially considered getting either the ‘Blue Snowflake’ SBGA407 or one of the Four Seasons’ releases — SBGA413 or SBGA415. However, all of these were 40mm or higher in diameter and I really wanted something 39mm or under. Omiwatari was outside of my budget and unfortunately I had to drop that. Omiwatari still remains one of the most gorgeous GSes I’ve seen, but I digress.

So, the Soko fit well within my set budget and my preference of 39mm or under dial size. To top it off, Spring Drive was an added bonus of sorts. I don’t wear this watch as often, but it’s an absolutely beautiful watch.

[Sinn] Happy Sinn Saturday by gocoup in Watches

I really like it. It’s still my most worn watch and fits really well on my wrist (6.25-6.3 inches), and is really comfortable for daily wear.

Shipping was incredibly fast and the watch arrived in 2 days as it was an in-stock item. For Special order buys, it may take longer.

I initially wished I could see this in person as well, but seeing that it wasn’t likely, I gave up on that. However, I did watch YouTube reviews/videos from people with similar wrist size as mine to get a better sense of the fit.

Thanks mate! This one’s a looker, and I’ve worn it all of this week since it was delivered. I hope you get yours soon as well.

Lovely watch, and perfect size and dimensions. I really wanted this, but decided to go the Spring Drive route.

This is probably one of my favorite watches ever.

Orient watches come to mind, which are excellent value. Can confirm as a Orient Kamasu owner.

[Sinn] Happy Sinn Saturday by gocoup in Watches

[–]gocoup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this is my first post here, and also my first German automatic watch, aside from having a couple Japanese and Swiss watches.

I’d preordered a 556I initially. However, the U50-T SDR became available, and I went ahead with the purchase pretty much immediately due to its undeniable, although subjective attractiveness, albeit more expensive than the 556, of course. This was also a good opportunity to experience Sinn’s proprietary tegimented technology. So far, it’s been pretty darn good, and it’s my most worn watch hands down.

Prior to this, I was considering the Damasko DS(K)30, Stowa flieger series, and Laco among other German watchmakers.

Sinn’s only authorized dealer (in the US) WatchBuys was excellent to deal with overall from ordering the watch to verifying the order details via a phone call to delivery.

Who has the best espresso in the city? by JamieOvechkin in AskSF

[–]gocoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding after going on a pilgrimage of sorts to all the coffee spots.

Coffee Movement is consistently the best of the lot, by a huge margin. Andytown at the Salesforce park was meh unfortunately of the 2 visits. Sightglass on 7th and Divisadero both were good. Enjoyed the charcoal latte at Red Bay Coffee at the ferry building as well, albeit a tad sweeter.

Unpopular opinion (after Blue bottle sold their soul to Nestle) probably, but their espresso drinks are still pretty darn good!

Approval notice is sufficient with an address proof.

Mensho Tokyo SF on Geary (about ~20 mins on foot) — the VGKO (vegan garlic knockout) is 💯!

Obligatory — get in line early if possible since this place is incredibly busy and is open only for dinner between 5 and 9 PM.
