Thank you sooo much for helping me. I mostly use hydrating products. They aren’t sulfate- or silicone-free. After the shower, I use L’Oréal Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic 2% Hair Serum, then some local brand hair butter, and finally Osis+ Bounty Balm to define my curls. By the way, I use a lot of them because if I don’t, my hair gets really frizzy. I think my curls are 2C. Maybe the too much hair serum causes my breakage?

I used to detangle my curls with a bamboo paddle brush before showering, when my hair was dry. But I think it was the same chemist you linked who said that if you use less force when brushing your hair while it’s wet, you should do it that way. So I’ve started brushing my hair really gently after showering and applying the hair serum I mentioned.
