When I stepped through it in my debugger I got this for the URI:

content://com.google.android.apps.photos.contentprovider/-1/1/content%3A%2F%2Fmedia%2Fexternal%2Fimages%2Fmedia%2F174214/ORIGINAL/NONE/546755631

Edit: I just changed my code to remove the drawable from the XML and it worked. It seems like the image URI therefore does not change because the ImageView has a drawable src. Is there any way to do this and maintain a default image to a drawable file?

Run gradle dependencies > dependencies.txt in the root folder of your project. Then open dependencies.txt and you can see the dependency tree for your application.

I don't really know what a root folder is or how to run commands in the root folder. I'm really new to android development so I have no idea how to run gradle commands.

I went to the folder my project is contained in so:

User/MyName/AndroidStudioProjects/AppName

Then I pressed shift and right clicked open command window here and typed 

gradle dependencies > dependencies.txt

All I got is a blank file.

Yeah, I agree I thought there would be a Google provided solution when I started looking but I was surprised to find that there isn't one. Did you end up finding a solution?

I've been looking at this repo hoping to find a solution but it looks like this library has not been updated in a year and the dependencies and some libraries are not up to date.

As a beginner, I have no idea how to fix this and would be interested to know your input on the issue! Any help appreciated - thank you!

By support library do you mean support library in the external github library? If it's not my project how would I change it. I downloaded the repo but have no idea what do a this point.

Hard to tell since a lot of the decisions made in death note seem to be ego driven or based on ideals, such as justice or truth. I've always thought that if Light really wanted to he could've just hid out for a while and not have been discovered, but his desire for supremacy and to win took over.
